I canceled my adult beginner class membership because there was not much direction and instructions seemed quite confused on what to focus on. I still have a few classes to make up but as my membership was canceled for the above reason, i would be charged $15 extra per makeup class in addition to the $180 per month I was billed previously. Thought that was quite interesting but I agreed to do so just so the makeup classes don’t expire. As I tried to book a make-up class in the app, I noticed that even though my membership was cancelled on 12/25/24 (as confirmed by the “we will miss you” email) I still got charged for January and February! I had my suspicions this was a shady company and this just confirmed it. Called them this morning and whoever I spoke to said I was going to be refunded. Funny how they were not aware they were still billing me for classes not attended 🤷‍♀️ Do not recommend!

Amazing experience. I knew how to swim but not correctly. The step by step approach by the British swim school staff really helped. However, you need to put in time outside of class and practice what you learned. The classes will guide and you need to practice. When practicing, start small and gradually build.

My son was a fearful swimmer and the instructor was very patient. It took him a while to jump in each time. However, the owner of the swim school jokingly pushed him into the water and he was so freaked out that we unenrolled in the school. We are now at Bear Paddle, and while it took him a long time to trust their instructors after his scare, we are much happier.

My son has been taking swim classes at this location for a few months. I have no complaints about the lessons themselves or any British Swim School employees, but our experience with this LA Fitness location has been a disaster. Parents are not allowed to sit on the pool deck to view the lessons, instead you have to sit in a designated area in the lobby. Today my wife attempted to watch my son’s lesson through the window into the pool area and was berated by an LA Fitness employee named Tanisha, who accused my wife of trying to steal credit card information from her computer. Apparently this employee has been exceptionally rude to everyone affiliated with the swim school, both parents and employees of the school. Needless to say we will not continue with swim lessons. The shame is that my son really enjoys his lessons and the location is vey convenient for us. If you’re interested in lessons with this company, avoid this location at all costs.

The instructor was very rude with my daughter, yelling at her because she is slow in swimming and last one to get out of the pool, unenrolled her immediately and do not recommend for anyone.
