What are people saying (AI review summary)? This facility generally receives positive feedback for its cleanliness, safety, and variety of attractions, including a popular surfing ride, diving pool, and children's areas. Many appreciate the numerous lifeguards and its accommodating nature for special needs, with features like zero-depth entry. However, several significant issues were raised. A prominent concern is an incident of alleged religious discrimination where a family, including an elderly mother and children, was ejected due to modest swimwear and forced to wait in extreme heat. Other criticisms include unclear weekend operating hours (shorter than weekdays), a poorly designed website with unresponsive contact numbers, and a restrictive 'no outside food/drinks' policy given the limited, often broken, and low-quality vending machine options. Minor complaints include bees in some play areas and occasional vending machine payment issues or soft ice cream.

This place is super clean and has almost as many lifeguards as patrons. The surfing ride is great! It's safe and my kids enjoy. We really hope to enjoy ice cream from the vending again- it was so easy to use Apple Pay the first time, but again, today, it didn't work with Apple Pay. Ice creams looked a bit soft too. I only give 4 stars because the weekend house are only until 5pm and week days 7pm. Weekends should be until 7 also.
We were deeply disappointed and hurt by the way my family was treated at the Glendale Heights pool. I had dropped off my children and elderly mother, who were all wearing modest swimwear specifically designed for swimming and aligned with our religious beliefs. Their swimwear was appropriate, safe, and fully swim-approved. Before leaving for work, I stayed with them for about 30 minutes to make sure they were settled in and had begun swimming. During that time, no staff member raised any concerns about their swimwear. Everything seemed fine. However, shortly after I left, my son called me in distress and told me they had been asked to leave the pool immediately. While I was on my way back from work to pick them up, they were forced to leave the facility entirely in 95°F (35°C) weather. They were not allowed to wait under an umbrella or in the shade, but were made to stand outside in the heat. This was especially difficult for my elderly mother. Not only were they humiliated and excluded because of their modest swimwear, but this entire experience felt like a clear case of religious discrimination. It is heartbreaking that such exclusion and lack of respect could happen in a diverse and supposedly inclusive community like Glendale Heights.
The good: Clean, reasonably priced, not too crowded, and good rides. The bad: The website is horribly designed, hours are not clear, there's several phone numbers listed that nobody answers, signs say no outside food/drinks yet all they sell is candy and soda out of two vending machined which was broken.. horrible policy!
This is a great place to visit! It is open to both residents and non-residents of Glendale Heights, the fee for non-residents are higher than those of residents. The faucility offers a lot for both children and adults, the fee includes children area, 12' diving pool, wave Rider, main pool, play area and volleyball court. The downside is that the play area and volleyball court has 🐝, so be careful! But overall this is well worth the fee. If not for the 🐝 would be a five star location.
Very accommodating for my special needs daughter! They let us bring her special equipment in and have a zero depth entrance to the pool! We had a great time!
