Recreation center with pools for all ages, waterslides, diving boards, and a kids' play area.
While specific pool temperatures are not widely published, the water at Rice Pool & Water Park is generally maintained at a comfortable, warm temperature suitable for year-round use and various aquatic activities.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Rice Pool is generally praised for its extensive amenities, including a large main pool, multiple slides, diving boards, a sand volleyball court, separate toddler pool, and clean facilities with a concession stand offering good food and pricing. Many visitors find it a great place for a sunny day with ample activities for various age groups, also noting close parking, clean bathrooms, and useful changing facilities with a clothes dryer. However, feedback on safety and staff demeanor is mixed; some patrons experienced lifeguards as overly strict, lacking manners, or inconsistently enforcing rules (e.g., restricting small inflatable toys while overlooking unsafe running/diving near children). A serious concern was raised by a parent whose child was allegedly groped after using a slide, followed by a reported lack of follow-up and communication from the aquatics safety manager despite multiple attempts to contact them. Other minor issues include a lack of shade by the pool and a higher day pass cost for non-residents compared to locals.

Great place. Nice big pool. Came on a Friday not too busy. Parking is really close too ! Slides, diving boards in 15 ft of water and a volleyball sand court. Concession stand with good food and pricing. Nice clean and big bathrooms with showers and changing area. Cool little dryer to dry wet clothes in seconds !
Great place for a sunny day. Just make sure to bring an umbrella or hat and some very high UVF sunscreen. There's obviously no shade by the pool. As for the safety, I'd say goes too far. My daughter had an inflatable beach ball suggested for 12+ months, the guard just goes 'this is not allowed' because it may 'hit others' as she said AFTER I asked why. Needles to say, my daughter started saying it's boring to just stay in the water and sit in the chair. Sure those high school guards have no manners in talking to people too. No need to talk like a prison guard. Also they had no issue allowing teenagers to run and dive and jump in the 2 ft area around babies and little kids who can not swim. Otherwise it was good, if you're there just for the sunlight. There was plenty of that
Really great community pool 👍🏻 There are snacks, a nice locker room, high dive, regular dive, lap lanes, picnic tables, volleyball, grass area, beach chairs, water slides, kids park, strong lifeguarding. It was expensive for a non resident ($15 for a day pass) but much cheaper for locals. My sister and her family have annual passes and absolutely love it. Great time!
This is one of my most favorite pool parks. It has so much for anybody to enjoy. Three wonderful slides, a sand area, a separate enclosed toddler pool. This is a great place.
My 9 year old son attended Rice Pool in Wheaton Thursday July 3rd 2025 with a couple of buddies and a close mom friend. My son was groped by two strange men in their late twenties early thirties after coming off the slide. One of them wearing an ankle monitor. A staff member noticed this an immediately intervened. A report was made, my son was questioned and told my friend the aquatics safety manager would be reaching out to “me the mother” to discuss what happened. I called the Aquatics safety manager on my way home from picking up my son and two more times over the weekend (pool was open!) and have YET to receive a call back. I’m pissed! I’m disgusted at how this has been handled and will continue to not give up till I hear back from someone. I have given Rice pool many opportunities to call me back and now I’m taking my experience with this organization to the reviews and possibly Wheaton PD. The aquatics and safety manager name is Max Yoshikawa and I hope you see this! Sincerely, A very pissed off mother.
