Dallas Swim Kids, located at 6465 E Mockingbird Ln #410 in Dallas, TX, is a dedicated indoor swim school offering year-round swimming lessons, primarily for children. They focus on teaching swimming skills in a comfortable and safe environment.
Their indoor pools are consistently heated to a comfortable temperature ranging from 90 to 91 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 32-33 degrees Celsius) for optimal learning and comfort.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The swim school generally receives high praise for its effective teaching methods, with many children, including beginners, showing significant progress in swimming skills, gaining confidence, and learning water safety. Staff members are frequently described as knowledgeable, friendly, competent, and accommodating, while facilities are noted for being clean and well-maintained. Positive aspects also include convenient class time options and, for some, an appreciated system for automatically issuing make-up tokens when sessions are missed. However, there are significant criticisms regarding business operations and customer service. Several reviewers report a lack of flexibility, particularly concerning refunds for pre-paid classes that are cancelled (e.g., due to holidays) and the limited availability of make-up classes, which can be challenging for busy families. Management and owners are described as unsympathetic to these issues. One specific negative review highlights a poor experience in a toddler class at a location referred to as 'Dallas Swim,' citing an overcrowded class, an uncomforting instructor, and a perceived lack of skill in teaching toddlers, leading to a negative experience and a waste of money.

I have been bringing my 2 grand daughters ages 7 and 5 for a swim lesson once a week since January. They had no skills and were somewhat afraid of the water. They are now swimming like crazy and have confidence in their ability. They have a respect for the water and know how to help themselves if they are ever in trouble. Every person on the staff is knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and happy to see you! The facilities are clean and very nice. I can’t recommend this swim school enough. Will be bring their 3 year old sister next. 😬😬
Poorly run business with terrible operational practices and minimal customer flexibility. They make you pay in advance for classes that they know they will have to cancel (e.g. holidays), then refuse to issue refunds. The only relief you get is a very limited availability of “makeup classes”, which usually don’t work for a busy family with multiple kids. The end result is they keep your money after not delivering on the promised schedule. Management team and the owner were also very unsympathetic and unapologetic for this inflexibility. I’d strongly encourage people to look for more customer-friendly businesses.
Staff are friendly, competent and accommodating; facility is clean; many class time options especially for weekends; particularly appreciate that they track attendance and automatically issue a make-up token when we have to miss a session. Hope this place continues succeeding as it brings so much convenience to the neighborhood!
We have been going to Mockingbird Swim for two years now and love it!! The owners and staff there are great with the kids and very accommodating with our busy schedule. My son enjoys the water. He enjoys playing with all the kids and the instructors. My son is not afraid of the water and I love how they teach the children safety in the water every session. I would highly recommend sending your children here to get them used to the water and learn how to swim.
This is a real and honest review for the toddler swim class I tried a few swim classes before trying Dallaa swim bc the other two places didn’t offer classes on Sunday’swhich is one of my days off work. I tried Dallas Swim and it’s not worth the money at all. My daughter is a beginner which I discussed over the phone before I paid for the trial class when I got there the teacher didn’t take the time to help comfort my toddler understandably the class had 5 other kids which I was told wouldn’t be as full on the phone. Elmer’s swim school had one or two kids and they actually gave my toddler attention my toddler won’t go with anyone she doesn’t feel comfortable with even with just anyone but she was willing to go in the water with the instructor at Elmer swim who you could tell knew how to teach toddlers. In comparison to dallas swim I rather have my child go to Elmer’s where she actually got one on one attention over a class full of toddlers and an instructor who doesn’t know how to teach toddlers. It was the biggest waste of my time and money not to mention Elmer offered a free trial class not going to this place again my child hated the experience in comparison to the other school. It’s important to me that my child learned to feel comfortable.
