Great Wolf Lodge is a kid's dream come true and a parent's best friend. The all-in-one resort concept is fantastic, providing endless entertainment under one roof. The indoor water park is, without a doubt, the main attraction. It’s well-maintained, warm, and has an impressive variety of slides and pools that kept my kids busy for hours on end. The daily activities, like story time and character meet-and-greets, add a magical touch that the kids absolutely loved. The themed rooms are a blast and were a huge hit with our family. We loved having everything we needed right there, from the mini-fridge and microwave to the in-room activities. However, the experience is not without its downsides, which is what keeps it from a perfect five-star rating. The resort can get incredibly crowded, leading to long lines for some of the activities and dining options. While the convenience of on-site food is a plus, the quality can be hit-or-miss, and the prices for both food and extra activities like MagiQuest can add up quickly. Overall, Great Wolf Lodge offers a spectacular, hassle-free family vacation that’s worth every penny for the smiles it puts on your kids’ faces. Just be prepared for the crowds and the costs, and you’ll have a fantastic time. We would absolutely go back.

Our 3-day stay was great. We spent the Labor Day weekend with our 3 grandkids, ages 10, 6, and 5, in a themed KidCabin suite with balcony, and it was clean and the perfect size for our group. We did not get to visit the Lasertag or Bowling areas, as we spent most of our time at the indoor and outdoor waterparks, the arcade, and on the Magiquest. The only thing I would suggest is providing a parking gate card on check-in to use upon exit from the parking areas instead of making guests use their wristband at the gate reader. We left the resort twice for meals and you have to be a contortionist to place one's wrist at the low-placed gate reader to get it to read so the gate would open, especially with an SUV. But we thought the customer service was great and had a virtual assistant available via text, in case we needed anything. We might make this an annual visit because our gkids loved it.

My husband and I took our daughter to Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX for a one-night stay. This place is super expensive, which we expected to some degree, but for the price, the experience fell short in a few areas. He purchased the premium meal plan for the buffet, and honestly, the buffet was mediocre at best. The food just wasn’t good, it was a small setup, not many options, and most of the items were lukewarm and didn’t feel properly heated. You’d expect a higher-end buffet for what they charge, but that wasn’t the case. They do have other restaurant options, but we didn’t try them. Our room, the Wolf Den Suite was okay and clean. It had a bunk bed and a queen bed, though the queen honestly felt more like a full-size. It was a fun setup for kids, but again, for the price, it didn’t feel like anything special. The activities for kids were good, and the water park area was probably the highlight. Our daughter had a wonderful time, which made the trip worth it in that sense. The staff was really nice, answered our questions, and made us feel welcome. Renee, who was working at the Oliver Mining Co., was especially great, so warm and kind with the kids. All in all, my husband ended up spending close to $600 for just one night. Our experience was okay, but it didn’t feel like great value. They really nickel and dime you at every turn, and I don’t think we’ll be coming back anytime soon.

Overall, a super fun trip with just a couple of minor drawbacks. We had a great time as a family, so many activities for all ages, and the experience overall was memorable! That said, there were a couple of things that made parts of it a little frustrating. First, the virtual experience. While it was cool I didn’t feel it was very kid-friendly for younger ones. I wish they were more upfront about that. My little ones (under 10) really struggled with the virtual games, but since we had already paid, we just made the best of it. Second, while I loved that there were multiple restaurant options on-site, the food itself was pretty bland. On the plus side: we loved all the complimentary gifts that came with the trip, and the upgrade options were a great bonus! My girls, my husband, and I had an absolute blast with everything else from the water park and arcade to the treasure hunt. The kids especially loved the morning yoga sessions and bubble dance nights. Can’t wait to go back soon!

We love coming here together with our boys! Pricey but gosh you get a lot of fun out of this place and lots of memories to take with! Only thing I dislike is the late nights they let the kids run around for the wand games. Rooms are always clean and comfy, stocked accordingly. Prices on food could be a little better but it's better than not having anything at all. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are always clean and the pools are very clean!!
