What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the facility highlight both positive aspects and areas for improvement. Many praise the outdoor pool area as amazing for both kids and adults, with kind and friendly staff, and multiple entertainment options. The availability of a sauna, steam room, and hot tub is also a valued feature for stress relief. However, significant frustration is expressed regarding a lack of clarity and consistency in the swim schedule and rules, particularly for lap swimming during lessons, leading to wasted trips and staff uncertainty. Customers are also disappointed that pool hours have been cut (closing at 5 PM) post-COVID while pass prices remain unchanged, leading to feelings of wasted money. A minor suggestion was made to update the air handling system.

This outdoor pool area is amazing! It's a wonderful place for kids and adults. The staff are always kind and friendly. If there is an area that isn't functional, then there are plenty of other options of things to do and stay entertained and cool for the summer. There isn't a lap pool area outside, but I believe there is one inside. There is a discount if you work or live in Kettering. They also offer swimming lessons!
I am pretty disappointed today. After working for 8hours I thought it would be nice to swim some laps and get some exercise. I looked at the swim schedule and noticed there was a large time gap that had no information about if the pool was open or closed so I called and was told I would be able to swim after 5pm. So I drove all the way there, changed into my swim attire and walked into the pool area which was full of little one learning how to swim. I went up to one of the older lifeguards and asked if I was good to swim in the unoccupied lanes…and he said he wasn’t really sure because there are rules that don’t allow others to swim during lessons but Saturdays they have the same lessons and people are allowed to swim. So he had to go ask another lifeguard…then he asked someone else and that person asked the Swim director….and he said I was not allowed to swim. I was also told that there have been many issues recently regarding similar situations and that they would have to wait until the end of summer to fix these issues….i am pretty unhappy with the lack of clarity regarding the schedule and lack of clarity regarding the actual workers. You would think they would fix their issues now since this is probably the most profitable season…people are purchasing swimming passes. I now feel a sense of regret after purchasing a pass, I’ve had it for about one month now and it all seemed pretty easy and simple but since they have opened the outdoor pool, nothing makes sense and I feel like I have wasted my money.
I have had a pool membership with the Rec Center for years. One of my favorite features of the Pool Membership is you have access to the Sauna, Steam Room, and Hot Tub Area. This area is my stress relief retreat after a workout or just a stressful day.
We enjoy the pool but they cut hours after covid. But price for pass is still the same. They close at 5pm now which really sucks! Don't think I want to pay full price for half the day!
Nice facility. Air handling might need to be updated.
