What are people saying (AI review summary)? The community pool generally receives positive feedback for its friendly and respectful young staff, enjoyable poolside music, and good concessions. Patrons appreciate the diverse pool offerings, including diving boards, a large slide, a dedicated shallow kids' area with spray toys, lap lanes, and deeper sections, making it suitable for all ages and activities, including birthday parties. The adult swim sessions are also valued for providing quiet time. However, significant issues were highlighted, particularly concerning communication and staff interactions. Some visitors reported frustrating experiences with lifeguards and supervisors, especially regarding the enforcement of adult swim rules with children with special needs. A major point of contention is the frequent, unannounced early closings for private events, which often disrupt family plans after they have already arrived and started swimming. There is a strong call for better communication channels, such as a weekend phone number for updates, as the current lack of information leads to frustration and consideration of not renewing memberships. A minor suggestion was the need for more lounge chairs.

Retired, going here first time this year. The young workers are respectful and kind. I like music and encourage them to play poolside fun music and they respectfully do! It makes pool time fun and relaxing! We could use a few more lounge chairs, there's more people then chairs, but, its a Blessing and a privilege to have this available in our community!
I’ve been coming to the Kennedy ever since I was a kid and it always is a great time! The concessions are good with plenty of space for the family and friends to eat. The pool is divided into multiple areas for all types of swimmers. There’s adult swim roughly every 45 mins and is great for parents and adults to get some quiet time. Will be going back this weekend!
Went there for my first time. Brought my 3 children. After a while they had adult swim, which I can understand. But my youngest is autistic so I brought him to the edge of the kid side to walk through the water. 2 life guards tried talking to my child instead of me, as im walking right there. I kindly explained my child doesn't understand and keeping him out the water for 15 minutes he was going to throw a while fit. Which my child did. ( we were only walking on the edge of the water not even fully in) And then after another 15 minutes of letting the kids back in was another adult swim??? I asked to speak to a manager, and a 16 year old with an attitude walked up saying hes the supervisor but given the way he walked up to me already to argue with me it wasn't worth it so I proceeded to grab my kids and leave. Won't be back.
We love it this pool! My son has had 2 birthday parties here and both turned out great! They have diving boards, a large slide, spray toys in the shallow kids area, designated swim lap lanes, and a deeper pool to swim in. It's affordable and nice! Highly recommend!
Very thankful that the community has something like this but very tired of showing up to the pool and shortly thereafter being told the pool will be closing for a private event. It's getting very frustrating when we look forward to a day of swimming with the kids, pack the kids up, dress the kids, arrive to the pool, start swimming and not even a half hour later get told the pool is closing and everyone needs to leave. In the case today, the young lady working the front desk didn't even know the pool was closing till an hour and a half before, and this was after we were checked in. It would have been nice to know this as a courtesy. If we had know, we likely would not have bithered getting our kids dressed to swim. There needs to be number for people to call on the weekends so they can get information on pool closings when the rec department is closed, perhaps that gets directed to the young man or woman at the front. We will be reconsidering a membership next year if this situation does not improve. Whats the point in a membership if we can never adequetely take advantage of the facilities.
