The YMCA provides various programs including youth sports, swim lessons, childcare, and wellness initiatives, aiming to promote healthy living and community engagement.
The SpartanNash YMCA typically maintains its lap pool at a comfortable temperature of around 80-82°F (26.6-27.7°C). The warmer family/therapy pool is usually set to a higher temperature, often around 88-90°F (31.1-32.2°C), for comfort and therapeutic use.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility is generally praised for its cleanliness, well-designed pools (suitable for families, kids, and lap swimmers), splash pad, nice locker rooms, family changing rooms, and the inclusion of a walking track and various equipment. However, significant negative feedback highlights issues such as rude staff interactions, poor phone responsiveness, and a lack of transparency regarding basketball court schedules. A recurring major complaint is understaffing, which frequently leads to the closure of the pool and hot tub, causing frustration among members who feel the high cost is not justified. There are also instances of unresolved credits for cancelled swim classes and unresponsive staff members regarding these issues.

Very clean and nice facility. My family loves going here with our 6 year old. The pool is well designed for him and has a splash pad. The family changing rooms are nice and clean. It makes it easy to get the whole family ready and cleaning up after the pool. We’d go here again.
Staff member Jo was very rude to me and my 3 y/o son while we were there inquiring about a day pass for him to enjoy some pool time. I called this location 8 times before coming and no one picked up the phone. The sheer look on my son’s face of how sad he was is something I’d never forget.
Nice locker roo.s and pool layout is perfect for kids, laps or arthritis exercises. Walking g track is a nice addition to weight a d biking equipment.
I like this location for the most part. They only have 2 basketball courts, so I wish they would post their open gym times on the app like the other locations do. We can plan better if we know there’s no camp/class using the courts. My main complaint is my daughter and I were signed up for swim classes and one was cancelled. We received an email stating we’d receive a credit for it. It’s been over a year at this point and no credit has been given. I’ve emailed Jake Belmore at least 5 times and he will not respond to me. He responded 1 time when I cc’d Ronnie Frelix to the email saying “I will reach out immediately!” - which he didn’t. He could’ve just responded to me instead of saying that. I’m not sure why this is so hard??? I haven’t signed myself or my kids up for anymore swim classes because of this.
Guys DO better I have about had enough I will be calling the better Business bureau. This location is not worth the money. Well I don't know if any of them are but. Since you don't seem to have enough staff to keep the pool and hot tub open maybe yougrt all the staff that hides in the back to come out and help so that maybe people who pay a s*** ton of money to use your facilities can actually use them. You'll keep them open and maybe you should clean The pool and hot tub at night when nobody's there just a thought
