Public pool featuring a rock-climbing wall and a slide and along with a snack bar.
All pools at Hampden Township Pool are consistently heated to a comfortable 80 degrees Fahrenheit (26.7 degrees Celsius).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the pool are mixed. Positive feedback highlights the friendly staff, delicious and well-priced snack bar, and the pool's suitability for families, often praising it as a good value option. Reviewers also noted ample parking and a deep end reaching 12 feet. However, several negative experiences were reported, primarily concerning astronomical prices for non-residents and short operating hours (12-5 pm) which were deemed poor value. Significant issues were raised regarding staff conduct, including unhelpful and disrespectful lifeguards, arbitrary capacity denials even when space was visible, and a particularly distressing incident where patrons felt discriminated against and were forced to leave due to modest swimwear, perceiving the action as racist and prejudicial, without receiving a refund. These negative experiences left some visitors feeling humiliated, disappointed, and vowing not to return.

Great pool always friendly staff snack bar is delicious and great prices we love coming here and will be getting pool passes for the coming year thanks for providing such a great area for families to enjoy without draining the bank
I had good time swimming here. There's plenty of parking and I think it goes up to 12 feet deep.
This is a nice size pool when you have children ranging from infancy to teens. Price for non residents on the weekend are absolutely astronomical!!! $20 for an adult and $18 for children ages 3+. Also, only being open from 12-5pm was a rip off for how much they expect a family to pay. The lifeguards are not respectful or helpful. My nephew lost his phone, when I directly asked about the phone sitting on the table she said it was her managers but it was my nephews phone. Won’t be back.
We had a terrible and upsetting experience at Hampden Pool. We were in the pool for over an hour, wearing modest swimwear that fits our cultural and personal preferences, when staff suddenly decided to kick us out. They kept staring at us and judging us the whole time, making us feel extremely uncomfortableIt honestly felt like we were singled out and treated this way because of racism and prejudice, not because of any real swimwear policy especially since other people wearing different types of swimwear were not bothered at allEven worse, we paid for full tickets and didn’t get any refund despite being forced to leave early The whole situation was humiliating and disappointing We do not recommend this place to anyone who cares about respectful and fair treatment.
Tried to go this evening. Was denied entry because we were not members and they were at capacity. I could see droves of people were already leaving at this point, there was plenty of room and I pointed this out but still refused entry. I guess the teens decide when they are at capacity when there is visibly room and many people leaving by 6pm. Entry fee is completely overpriced for this kind of behavior. We drove all the way from Carlisle and my 4 year old was devastated. Never coming here again, will go to Carlisle pool or boiling springs in the future.
