About

Clean pool at a park, plus a playground for toddlers and kids.

Specific, consistent pool temperatures for Karns Lions Pool are not publicly available. As a seasonal outdoor facility, its water temperatures are typically ambient, fluctuating naturally with the prevailing weather conditions throughout its operating season.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? The pool receives a mix of positive and negative feedback. Many visitors appreciate the cleanliness and maintenance of the pool and surrounding areas, highlighting features like the fenced-in kiddie pool, splash pad, diving boards, and an accessible ramp into the main pool. The snack bar is generally seen as decent and affordable. However, significant issues include inconsistent payment options, with reports that debit cards are not accepted despite website information, often requiring cash. Staff behavior is a major concern, with one account detailing an overly strict 'Pool Czar' enforcing numerous 'no fun' rules (e.g., no splashing, no shouting, no sharing tubes), leading to a quiet, 'library-like' atmosphere unsuitable for energetic children. Another review describes an extremely rude staff member regarding trash disposal after a large group event. A serious safety incident involving a broken ladder step resulted in injury, but staff response was deemed inadequate, offering only a brief apology without compensation or further assistance. Minor issues like dead bugs in the water were also noted.

We love coming to this POOL! The little kid area is fenced in & super safe and my sons love getting snow cones from the snack bar. I took away one star only because I wish they took debit cards & there were lotssss of dead bugs in the water. We will be back, but I may ask for a net to catch the bugs! lol

The pool is great always enjoy our time. Today was my granddaughters 9th birthday and we had cleaned our mess as we would do well the lady when we came in said when trash can got full let them know so they could empty it. Then this other lady came over with an attitude and said you all need to get your own trash and take it around to the dumpster her kids didn't have time to do that with an attitude straight off when we told her what we had been told we'll I'm telling you that you all need to take it to trash yourself if it had been a mess I could had seen the attitude but it was all boxed up cleaned up and it was two boxes. It's sad she had an attitude like that in front of the kids and everyone and to say we had about 25 guest. We enjoy the pool and have been several times but for that lady to come at us like that was completely uncalled for. She could had ask and even offered their little thing for the trash she was like you need to pick up those boxes of trash and take it to the dumpster yourself. I worked for kcs for 22 years and with all the extra things we done or had going on not one time would I had talked to guest or anyone else like that. I will say we frequent the pool at least 2-3 times a week ot was completely uncalled for. I think someone should find out what her name is and let her know we put alot of money into that pool today and she should be let go or suspended and taught how to talk to ppl. She said her peaceful walked off with her attitude wouldn't give anyone time to say anything to her besides my daughter getting to tell her what the other lady had told us. Ppl like her will always get you bad reviews as this one.I just wish she'd had a name tag on. I didn't appreciate her attitude or any of the rest of us and like I said they're was alot of money put into that pool today.

Review: Karns Lion Pool (aka Karns Lion Library) Today was my first experience at Karns Lion Pool. With the heat blazing, it seemed like the perfect day to cool off. But after our visit, I’m convinced they need to change the name to Karns Lion Library. I’ll explain. First, we checked the website beforehand to see if they accepted cards. It said they did—just with a small fee—so I didn’t bother grabbing cash. Turns out, they do take credit cards... just not debit cards. Which makes zero sense. It’s literally the same machine, y’all. Luckily, I scraped up enough cash to get through the gate. Once inside, my daughter and I hopped on a rubber tube—one the pool actually provides—and started floating around together. That’s when the Pool Czar (yes, we gave her a title) marched over and told us we couldn’t be on the same tube... even though she’s my daughter. That was our first clue something was off. Then we noticed how quiet it was. The place was packed, but you could hear a pin drop. No splashing, no shouting, no playing—because apparently, all of that is banned. No roughhousing. No sharing tubes. No being loud. Basically, no fun. We kept joking that if we laughed too hard, the Pool Czar would blow the whistle and banish us. Honestly, if you have loud, happy, energetic kids… this is probably not your pool. Now, for the positives: - There’s a small slide, two diving boards, and a splash pad for the littles (though no lifeguard over there). - The concession stand is decent and affordable. - And despite the rules, we still had a great time with the group of us—mostly because we laughed at the whole situation. So yeah. Bring cash. Keep your voice down. And prepare for the most entertainingly quiet pool experience of your life.

I had brought my family to the pool to celebrate a birthday. As I was getting out of the pool, the ladder step broke and I fell back in the pool. With clear signs of injury with instant bruising... All I received from staff was "oh, I'm sorry". They bolted it back on and resumed use of the ladder. I honestly believe I should have gotten my money back or something. I'm not a young woman and I don't just heal and snap back. I have to work and provide for my family

The pool and the area surrounding it is always clean and well taken care of. The kiddie pool is perfect for the little ones and easy for my MIL to get in and out of as well. The main pool has a full ramp going into the water so you don't have to use a ladder unless you want to. 😊
