What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for this 'old neighborhood pool' are mixed, primarily due to its operating schedule and customer service. While one long-time patron defends its necessary closure in colder months due to water temperature, liability, and economics, multiple other reviewers expressed significant frustration and encountered an 'extremely rude' staff member when inquiring about swimming in November, even when air temperatures were warm. These callers reported being questioned aggressively about wanting to swim in November, despite the website potentially indicating otherwise. The pool is noted as members-only with private party options, and some reviewers anticipate a better experience during the appropriate season.

Love the old neighborhood pool! It's a little rough around the edges, but it squeaks by year after year. There is no public (unheated) outdoor pool that is going to be open in November. Just because the air temp is 80 on one day does not mean that the water temp is even remotely close to that. Despite the economics of keeping a pool open through the winter while almost nobody is paying to swim, its also a considerable liability to have people swimming in water cold enough to induce shock or hypothermia. Looks like ya'll need a few more years of Uni lol. -Norwood Neighbor
I am a UTK student who was looking for any local outdoor pool that was open. I tried calling and the lady was extremely rude and said that the only place I was going to be able to swim this time of year is in Florida when it was 80 degrees and sunny out the whole day. I wasn’t trying to be rude but my friend and I were just looking for an outdoor pool and she had a MAJOR attitude.
The lady that answered the phone is VERY RUDE! She needs an attitude check or need to be fired. She questioned why I would want to swim in November yet it was 80 degrees outside and the website said it was open. She said and I quote, “ITS NOVEMBER, WHO SWIMS IN NOVEMBER?” when I called to ask if they had open swim.
Would have been a true experience with the weather and company I visited at the wrong time of year and I am sure it will be a better experience
