What are people saying (AI review summary)? The YMCA generally receives high praise for its dedicated and friendly staff who ensure children are happy, safe, and engaged with various activities, including daily swim lessons and free swim. Facilities are well-regarded, offering multiple pools, excellent equipment, courts, and a running track. However, recurring issues include poor communication regarding changes to hours or unexpected closures on their website and social media, leading to wasted trips for members. Another common complaint is that swim teams frequently monopolize a significant portion of the deep end during public swim hours, impacting general member access.

Kim and Tyrell were great! Both have worked wonderfully with other staff to keep the kids happy and safe - atleast that was my experience. My son loves the Y and its because of staff like them. Thanks so much!
I love bringing my daughter here to swim in the outdoor pool but the YMCA needs to be better about posting changes to their hours on website and social media. I drove 30 minutes yesterday to bring her to the pool only to find it closed for some event that was happening which was not posted anywhere. I wouldn’t have gotten her hopes up if we couldn’t go swimming. Please YMCA give us a heads up when you aren’t actually open so we don’t waste our time and have to deal with toddler tantrums.
First for a family of four I want to say that I pay a great price and when you actually get to the YMCA, you see why you paid that price I only utilize the pool outside for me and my family. It’s a nice place to have since I don’t have a pool of my own, but when you get here which is almost every single day, they have some kind of swim team doing practice or another kind of swim team doing practice, which they utilize Most of the deep end, which is so unfair because if it’s only an hour, then you say OK but when it’s the whole time that we are allowed to use the pool which is only 3:00 PM to 8 PM and then to have to have mostly the whole deep end utilized by that it’s really unfair. I hope the YMCA gets their stuff together cause this is not and I repeat this is not Fair.
Counselors know my child by name, swim lessons and free swim every day, multiple activities throughout the day, specialty camps offered throughout the summer - my easily bored child is never bored and absolutely loves every minute at the Y!
The Freehold YMCA has a lot of excellent equipment, 3 pools, basketball courts, pickleball courts, a running track and very friendly, knowledgable associates,
