What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for Peddie Aquatics are notably mixed, presenting a dichotomy of experiences. A significant number of negative reviews highlight poor customer service, including persistent difficulties with online registration and payment, unresponsiveness to calls and emails, lack of urgency in resolving issues, and unannounced class cancellations. Several parents reported disrespectful, ill-mannered, and dismissive behavior from staff towards both adults and children, with concerns raised about management's handling of complaints and perceived lack of accountability. These reviewers felt the service did not align with Peddie's reputation. Conversely, positive reviews highly praise the staff, including the director and instructors, as exceptionally nice, hard-working, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. These customers reported excellent progress in their children's swimming abilities, with some even advancing to competitive teams, and positive experiences with adult lessons, describing the facility and its people as 'fantastic'.

I tried to sign my son up for swim lessons here despite the negative reviews. I had trouble making a payment to register. I kept getting server error. I contacted the school and left a VM, no response... a few days later I sent an email and was told all communication is done by email. OK no problem. When I explained I had trouble paying... there was no urgency or willingness to assist. I was told to try a different browser. Now that I tried a different browser it says all classes are full. In short, nobody was rude to me just seems like they don't really care to do business. Update: I will post screenshots of the conversation if need be, that will also show your curt responses, which I intentionally left out of my above review. I did respond back and told you which browser I was using. After this review was submitted, I then recieved an email stating that someone could help me (4 days later) but at that point I had already paid goldfish swim who helped me sign up within 10min and at a lower cost.

Honestly, whoever is leaving a 1-star review must not be going to the same pool. (They could also be AI bots.) The people I know at Peddie Aquatics, including the director and some of the instructors, are some of the nicest and hardest working people. In fact, the only sin that could be held against them is that they are overworked and underpaid! I'm sure it's impossible to please everybody, and I'm sure everybody can have a bad day from time to time, but this place (and its people) are fantastic.

Once you booked the class online, there is no one taking care of you. Calls and emails no one responded. Im very surprised to see the aquatic center runs this way not fully align Peddie's reputation, maybe it is a side business not in the Peddie system. My boy went there twice on level 1, not progressing. I guess he is a slow learner. The center keep canceling the classes without any alert. My boy went to other program and it worked. I tried to come back because it is the closest one but again after I booked no ones picked up the calls and emails for days. All the parents there are frustrated and I have to speak the truth. It is not aligning for Peddie’s reputation. And you can surely do better, at least trying. Im not picking up the teaching method or management, simply pick up calls and responding emails after taking people money on week days is at least small things you can do. We all have kids. What if people did that to you and your child?

I’ve never felt more disrespected by a facility’s employees than going to this swim place. Some of the staff were outright ill‑mannered, speaking to me—and worse, to my kids—as if we were an inconvenience. What’s even more upsetting is how rude and dismissive they were toward the children, which no parent would tolerate. Naturally, this led to a verbal argument—because no parent stands by while their kids are mistreated. Some confusion of the incident could have been resolved, but seems the staff took it other direction. With the incident that was said as diving for my kids, one of the lifeguard on duty, management instantly sided with the guard’s version of events without checking the facts or hearing us out. When asked about the proof of incident we were flatly told they “wouldn’t provide it” and instead escalated the situation. To make matters worse, one of the staff member attitude and unwillingness to listen was more shocking.Unless real action is taken to address this behavior and hold staff accountable, I think this will continue to happen again and again. A simple, respectful conversation could have resolved everything. We understand that kids can be tough sometime, but instead, the staff chose rudeness and hostility. Until they learn how to treat both adults and children with basic respect and decency, I would suggest parents to think before enrolling there kids.

We sent both of our kids to swimming lessons here. My younger one (6-year-old) was so scared to put her feet in the water when she joined, but shortly after a few months, she’s able to swim in a competitive swim team! I personally enjoy the adult lesson too. We like this place very much, and all the coaches and staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional.
