Walter's Park Pool is a public outdoor swimming facility located in Phillipsburg, NJ, typically open during the summer months. It serves as a community recreation spot, often featuring a main pool, a kiddie pool, and a spray park, providing a cool retreat and recreational activities for local residents and families.
Specific pool temperatures for Walter's Park Pool are not consistently published or readily available. As a public outdoor facility, its temperature would generally be unheated and dependent on ambient weather conditions.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The pool generally offers a clean area with ample lifeguards and diverse activities like slides, sprinklers, and a rock-climbing wall, with the sprinkler park being a highlight. It conveniently accepts both cash and cards, including at the snack shack, and provides a good time, even when busy. However, common criticisms include the poor condition and cleanliness of the bathrooms, a lack of lounge chairs, and an unclear or unreasonable policy for end-of-day discounts. A significant concern for some patrons is the high admission price, especially for residents, raising questions about cost fairness and the practicality of an outdoor pool with limited seasonal use.

I would give it five stars were it not for the condition of the bathroom and the need for more lounge chairs. Maybe just 10? Most public pools give a discounted rate at the end of the day. Shen I inquired of the girl at the entrance, she was unsure. She did say she thought it was a $2.00 charge from 7-8pm. Maybe 2hrs instead of one would be more reasonable. Anyway, the pool area was clean with plenty of lifeguards. Every section of the pool had some kind of activity (slides, sprinklers, a rock climbing wall). The sprinkler park area was my favorite part! Colorful and inviting.
They take both cash and cards which is AWESOME! Even the snack shack takes cards! There is a baby pool and a regular pool complete with a windy slide.
Affordable and close by summer activity for kids. Does get very crowded and bathroom was not very clean.
It's always a good time even when it's packed. Luckily it's not always packed and there is room to sit down
Why is the pool so expensive? It seems we can get non-resident passes to Easton or Lopatcong for less than our own towns resident price. Or $4 a visit as a non-resident vs $10 as a resident for our own town. Does my tax money go to this or does the fees fully cover it? Plus why did we build an outdoor pool in a town where you can only use it 4 months a year. If we can get some answers maybe I will update my review.
