What are people saying (AI review summary)? The club receives mixed feedback, though generally positive, with consistent praise for its exceptionally clean and well-maintained facilities, including courts, locker rooms, and common areas. Many reviewers commend the friendly and welcoming staff and community, noting a lack of pretentiousness and high-quality instructors. Additional positive points include a shop, snacks, handicapped facilities, and ample parking. However, significant concerns arise from customer service issues, specifically unannounced cancellations of lessons or clinics, and poor communication or follow-up, which has frustrated long-term members. Some patrons felt disrespected when established tennis clinic times were reassigned to pickleball without adequate notice or alternative options. Pickleball players also noted potential for uneven matches due to lack of level-matching, tight court configurations, and a desire for lower open play costs. Despite these issues, recent proactive efforts by the General Manager to address complaints and improve services have been positively acknowledged by some.

I’ve had the pleasure of being a member of this incredible indoor tennis club for years. For starters, you will not find a more well kept facility. The restrooms/locker rooms are always kept impeccably (understatement) clean, as well as, all other areas of the club, inside and outside. The courts themselves are routinely machine cleaned and painstakingly maintained. And this doesn’t even begin to touch the tremendous offerings of this place. The staff and community will take you in and always make you feel at home. In a sport where pretentious individuals are often in abundance, this club community lacks such characters. The club instructors are second to none, with deep experience teaching all levels of play. Yes, like many other clubs, there is an annual membership fee, but considering all of the above, along with all of the many perks built into it, it pays for itself many many times over. Give this club a try. You’ll love it.
Played some $12 open play pickleball on M/W night (2 hours) while in town for business. I had a good time. A mix of levels of players and they don’t really match by level so you can get stuck with some lopsided play, which is less fun. More fun when you are evenly matched. Most people were friendly; staff is friendly and helpful. Indoor tennis courts with 4 pickleball court lines per 1 tennis court. Tight on certain rear/sides. Not a deal breaker. Would play again. Wish open play were a little less expensive.
EDIT for 2022: (with added Stars) I had a nice call from the Steve (General Manager), and he offered up a free private lesson and also to find a good group to play with. So far, he has been very pro-active and professional! I have a good feeling that he is trying to get the Club back to where it was before COVID and all the staffing issues. So for now, I added back to 4 stars. I get the feeling that I may be adding that fifth star soon, if the good and friendly accommodations keep adding up!! Original review: similar experience to others. (John Beckwith had an almost identical situation to mine) The business has been slipping the last 10 years. I left 2 years ago because I showed up for 2 different clinic/lesson appointments, and both were cancelled without my knowledge. Totally wasted my time. Then they said they would call with a new option, and never did. I left for a while and decided to try it again. So I sign up for a thursday clinic, and like before, I show up.....and guess what? No instructor (he "left for the day") and the reception staff was not told. They frantically called around for him. So that makes 3 times that I showed up, wasted over an hour, and left without any service. I've been a regular member for well over 12 years prior to that, signing up for continual clinics and lessons. But if they don't respect the customer, what is the point?
Enjoyed tennis for over 10 years. Spent thousands. Suddenly my Wednesday clinic time gets sold out to pickelball . Better yet, no call, no opportunity to reschedule except when I’m working. Where is the allegiance to patrons? I’ve been in business for 33 years; you don’t treat people like this. Called on 3 occasions. No return call. I’ll go to Nassau.
Nice establishment with a shop and snacks. Lessons were in progress. Has handicapped.facilities from parking lot.and into the building Nice staff.and ample parking. About 31/2 miles south on Rt31 from Rt78
