What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a mixed view of the club. Many members highly praise the friendly and kind staff, the positive atmosphere, and the quality of fitness classes and instructors. Some appreciate the new workout equipment and the availability of machines, which can make workouts feel private. The club also offers valuable programs like a free 7-day VIP pass for visitors, which is well-received. However, a significant number of concerns are raised regarding the poor maintenance of the facilities, including unheated pools, frequent closures of amenities like hot tubs and saunas, and general dilapidation of tennis courts, common areas, and parking lots. Some users also reported issues with rude and unhelpful staff, high-pressure sales tactics, and unfulfilled promises regarding billing and referral bonuses, leading to the perception that the club is overpriced for the service and facilities provided.

I grew up going to this club as we lived right down the street. I learned how to play Tennis here and how to swim. Now that its under construction Im so happy to see it come back to life after years of it being in decay. The people building the new B&R are amazing and cant wait to see the end result!
I love this club. Although some parts of the facility aren't as nice as my last club, the people make this place great. Everyone is so kind. I look forward to my work outs so I go more often. I know that I will see my friends and the atmosphere is upbeat. The club has new work out equipment but it's the awesome Yoga, TRX and spinning teachers that make it great. Also, I hate waiting for machines. At this club, I have never had to wait for a machine. Sometimes I go early in the morning and I am the only person there. It's like having a private gym.
Overpriced for what you get. Pool, hot tub, and saunas are shut down for long periods due to poor maintenance. Pool is not heated as it claims to be (main reason I joined). Most of the staff are incredibly rude and unhelpful. I referred a friend, they pressured her into signing up for personal training to the point that it made her very uncomfortable. Despite that, she still joined so we could work out together. They promised her and me that I would get a free month for the referral. They didn't apply the free month when the next billing cycle came, I called to ask them to refund the money (had to hunt down the sales manager). He said he'd refund me for the month, never did, never called me back. When I called again, he claimed I don't get a free month, as advertised, but a discount. I finally had enough of the scrap service and am takung my business elsewhere.
I was on a family vacation to Siesta Key last week, and I was worried that I might not be able to work out the entire time. I was looking at different places around the area, and some offered day passes or week passes, but they were quite expensive. Then I came across this facility and it showed that I could get a "7 Day VIP Pass" for free. I thought maybe it would only apply to people in the area that wanted a tour and were planning to join. Since I am from Chicago, I thought they would not let me just use their facility all week for free. However, I signed up online, went in within a few hours, and I could not have been treated better! The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful, scanned my driver's license, and that was it! I worked out there in the free weight section every day for a week. I was always greeted with a smile and had a wonderful time. Some of the equipment is a little older, but it has everything you need for a full body workout- benches, squat racks, free weights, machines, cardio equipment, etc. I would HIGHLY recommend this facility to anyone in the area, especially those looking for a place while on vacation!
While tennis members are great to play with and there are many people and pros to choose from, the courts and the facilities are deplorable. The courts have little grit on them, although there are 23 courts. They are not swept during the day or after play. The huts between the courts need paint and the sidewalks between the courts are rarely swept. The bushes need to be groomed so you can walk two abreast on the sidewalks between courts. There is no area to sit after a match unless you want to go upstairs to the restaurant. There are some tables upstairs outside (plastic) with astro turf carpeting that is not clean. the paddle fans are rusted and gross. The gutters need to be repaired and the whole upstairs porch needs painting. The ladies room has recently been nicely refurbished but lacks soap, and one toilet is usually on the fritz. The footbaths outside are few and frequently empty. Finally, the parking lot is a mess, potholes, weeds, etc. I was a member of the club for one year and left.
