What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the facility present a mixed picture, reflecting a period of transition and differing experiences. There's considerable optimism surrounding new ownership (Heritage) and operators, with some reviewers noting a positive 'turnaround' in the facility's appearance and improved court conditions, along with an appreciated court grooming policy. High praise is given to the swim school and its staff, as well as the quality of tennis clinics and lessons. The restaurant 'Spin' receives positive mention for its food, and concession staff are lauded for their helpfulness. However, significant concerns are raised regarding the facility's general upkeep; multiple reviewers describe it as 'shabby,' 'unkempt,' and 'dirty,' citing issues like uncollected debris, unclean restrooms, and a lack of shade at the pool due to a ripped tarp. While outdoor restrooms are reportedly being renovated, there's a sentiment that easily addressable aesthetic improvements are being overlooked. A specific concern in tennis relates to court deterioration caused by players wearing improper footwear.

Great news!!!! Heritage bought it out! Great days to come! place is looking shabby. Milton debris on building and grounds not picked up. ladies bathroom really dirty. are they in financial trouble?
First I absolutely LOVE the swim school here, everyone is amazing!!! This has nothing to do with them. Don’t get me wrong, I’m super excited this facility is open again! Unfortunately, It’s still not kept up very well though. The outdoor restrooms are finally being renovated! Yay. This place used to be so nicely kept years ago… we would even go to the old bar/restaurant and play trivia. My daughter now swims here and the only “shaded” area for anyone to sit is under a structure with a blue tarp as the roof. Unfortunately, for all the parents this beautiful blue tarp ripped a few weeks ago and has still not been fixed… so we all sit in the sun for 20-30 minutes. The handmade wooden “wall” behind the little fountain at the pool entrance is truly just stunning as well! (Kidding) As I said, I am very happy this place is finally open again and not a huge eye sore but there are definitely still many aspects of this place that are easily able to be fixed to help presentation that have not been done.
I joined SSC in March and have been very pleased with the facility. I have thoroughly enjoyed clinics by Total Tennis (Phillip & Kent) and Michael Boothman does great lessons and clinics too. The restaurant, Spin, is a well kept secret! I have only eaten there once and had a kale salad with cranberries, pine nuts, and goat cheese topped with salmon that was a 10! The reason for 4 stars is due to the court conditions. I wish there was someone to monitor what type shoes players are wearing on the courts because running shoes are wreaking havoc on the clay courts.
I came for the Sarasota open 🎾 and Joe from the concession stand was so nice and extremely helpful.
Impressed with the way this facility has turned around and is looking quite good. Congratulations to the new operators! Courts were in good condition, with new windbreaks and I like the idea of asking players to groom the court when thay vacate it... just like Europe! Good to see the club operating again and hopefully in good hands!
