Cione public swimming pool is an outdoor recreational facility situated within Cione Playground at 2600 Aramingo Ave in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA. Operated by Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, it serves as a popular community resource during the summer season, providing a refreshing spot for swimming and recreational activities for local residents.
The Cione public swimming pool is typically unheated, as is common for outdoor municipal pools in the area. Its water temperature naturally fluctuates with the ambient air temperature and prevailing weather conditions, generally being cooler at the start of the summer season and warming as the weather gets hotter. Specific daily water temperatures are not usually published.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The pool is generally regarded as nice and clean, with attentive staff. Many visitors appreciate it as a good place for children, with some recounting positive first-time experiences. However, there are notable complaints about overly strict rules, including prohibitions on bringing outside food, drinks, personal chairs, and baby strollers, as well as specific restrictions like certain goggles or a toddler playing with large balls. Additionally, one review highlighted issues with overcrowding and a lack of effective crowd management.

Nice pool. Clean. Attentive crew on site. I’m sad that we can’t bring our own chairs, but I understand why.
Legit first time i went there it was too packed to go in and they werent switching people out or kicking them out? I was waiting for a hour like wtf kick them out and let others get a chance
When do y'all open for this year I love this pool I take my kids every year
My daughter and I had a fun time—it was her very first visit to a swimming pool, and it was a blessed experience.
Nice pool but the team are very strict on unnecessary things . I took my son here and he’s just 1 and a half years old . He was playing with the balls and they said he couldn’t cause he can choke . Like why would I let my son choke ? Then HOW if the balls were way bigger than his mouth literally . You can bring nothing inside , no food ( but the staff can order their food ) no chairs , people sit along side of the gate when they don’t want to swim . Can’t even bring baby strollers inside or DRINKS . It’s too much and pointless . No fun . Can’t even wear goggles with the nose piece .
