We’ve been coming to Big Blue since they opened a little over a year ago. My now 4 year old had zero swimming experience- shockingly we don’t have a pool and nobody in our family does either! He is very high energy and his instructors have been nothing short of patient, kind, and caring even on his craziest days. We also started our daughter right when she turned one and she loves her swim class so much she tries to sneak through check-in with her brother to start early. While all of the instructors are amazing we’ve personally had Brooke, Peyton, and Elise for the majority of our time here and coming to class feels like visiting with friends. The facility has showers, plentiful changing rooms, and toys to play with before and after class- and of course you can’t forget the after class stickers and family fun days!

We struggled with Swim lessons until we found this place! Our son loves the activities they have to play with before his lesson. Super friendly staff. Huge pool. Avery, his swim coach has a great style that works well with him. Recommend!

We’ve had a great experience at Big Blue Swim School in Gilbert! The facility is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed—from the warm water pools to the comfortable viewing area for parents. But the real highlight is the coaching staff. The instructors are not only skilled and professional, but also incredibly patient and encouraging with the kids. You can really see how much they care and how well they connect with young swimmers. Highly recommend to any parents looking for a safe, supportive, and fun environment for their child to learn to swim!

My timid son has been swimming here for a few months, and his confidence has skyrocketed. All of the instructors are skilled, patient, yet firm with the kids. They genuinely seem to care about the swimmers progressing. The facility seems well maintained and clean. Everyone is nice and knowledgeable. They even have things for siblings to play with while they wait during lessons. I cannot say enough good things about Big Blue.

We’ve been going to Big Blue Swim School for about a year now, and our experience here has been fantastic. One of my kids flew through the levels and has become not only a safe and competent swimmer, but a skilled one as well. My other child has a more intense fear and has taken a long time to overcome it, but with the patient and empathetic coaches (especially Coach Elise), he no longer fears water in his face and can even go under without plugging his nose. Over time, his reliance on teaching tools has slowly lessened, which is amazing to see. He’s still not quite at what I would consider safe and competent level, but the strides he has made in the last year thanks to BBSS are phenomenal. He’s also always done things at his own pace, so that’s definitely not a criticism of this swim school. It’s been fun and fantastic for my kids. And bonus for the parents - it’s indoors and there’s a massive viewing window. The coaches come by regularly, often almost every lesson, to go over each child’s progress and to answer any questions. They’ve been very helpful in that regard and very accommodating with schedules. When our time here wraps up, we will certainly miss the school and its amazing coaches! I absolutely recommend this school to anyone with young or fearful swimmers. As someone who had extremely traumatic experiences with swim lessons as a child, I wish I had had a place like this to learn and feel safe in. We love Big Blue Swim School!
