What are people saying (AI review summary)? This park is generally well-regarded for its wide array of amenities, which include picnic areas, basketball and pickleball courts, a skate park, walking tracks, and a pool with a waterslide. Visitors frequently praise the park's safety due to active lifeguards and safety officers, as well as its affordability for families. However, recurring criticisms focus on the park's bathrooms, which are often described as having a strong odor due to a septic system and being in need of thorough cleaning and refurbishment. Some visitors also note that the park can be crowded, express a desire for more shade, and highlight issues with the adult swim test policy, particularly its impact on individuals with hearing impairments.
Reviews
This is a great park with plenty of areas to spread out. Lots of nice picnic areas, basketball courts, pickleball, a skate park, two different walking tracks, and, of course, the pool and waterslide. There is also a large area accessible to the south of the park (which may or may not be part of the park) where you can go for a longer walk or run. The bathrooms are clearly handled by a septic system that is apparently above ground. If it is windy enough, you can literally smell them from over a half mile away. I have run in this park enough times to know exactly what the distance is. But, that isn’t very frequent, and overall it is a very nice park.
I never felt so safe being in a community pool. Life guards EVERYWHERE actively watching anyone in the pools. The place is safe and very clean. My son and his friends love coming here.
My son goes here all the time friendly staff always safety officers in and around the parking area playground 🛝 skate park and all. Fun place on a budget and for the area kids are $1 and adults $3
Adults need to pass a swim test to swim in big pool. I'm deaf and wear a Cochlear Implant to hear, but remove it so it doesn't fall off my head. How am I supposed to pass a swim test when you're talking to me while I'm swimming? Will not come back out an 8 outrageous bucks for my family.
It's nice and cheap, but it's a bit crowded, and the bathrooms need a thorough refurbishing and cleaning. More shade would be good, too.
