The Splash Pad at Gilbert Regional Park is an expansive and highly popular water play area, offering a refreshing escape in the Arizona heat. It features a diverse array of interactive elements including ground sprays, water cannons, dumping buckets, and various structures designed for engaging play. Catering to children of all ages, it provides a safe, zero-depth entry environment for active water fun within the large park.
Specific pool temperatures for the Splash Pad are not publicly available as it is an open-air water play feature rather than a traditional pool. The water, typically from the municipal supply, is not heated or cooled and its temperature will largely reflect the ambient air conditions.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The park is generally well-loved and highly recommended, offering a diverse experience with a large lake, a substantial dry playground, and a very popular splash pad. The gated splash pad, featuring fun water structures like dumping buckets, is a major highlight, entertaining children of all ages and providing a great way to cool off. However, a significant drawback is the pervasive lack of adequate shade throughout the park, including parking and fishing areas. This issue, particularly during hot Arizona summers, often leads to the dry playground being closed due to heat, significantly limiting the park's overall usability and enjoyment during peak warm months.

This was a really fun playground. It has two parts. One with water and one with dry equipment. It’s great to let the kids play in the water for a while to cool off then let them play on the other play set to dry off. It was enjoyable for me as mom as well. Thanks for the amazing day. 100/100 recommend
Great park did not know this existed. There is something for all ages. Huge lake, big play ground and fun splash pad.
Absolutely love this splash pad. It is gated and has so many fun water structures including the structures that are like water buckets and drop a bunch of water at once. There is some shade, not a whole lot and some trees so that was a big plus too. We brought our lawn chairs to sit under the shade.
My grandson LOVES this splash pad. It keeps the big kids entertained as well! While I wish there was a little more shade, they've definitely tried. It's Arizona, and being a bit hot is expected.
Splash pad is nice. Playground was closed due to heat. Parking lot no shade fishing barely any shade. Such a huge park that cannot be enjoyed during the summer.
