Enormous public pool featuring a slide and a concession stand, plus a party area.
Specific, regularly published pool temperatures for the Dormont Swimming Pool are not consistently available to the public. However, as a large outdoor public recreational facility, the water is typically maintained at a comfortable swimming temperature suitable for general enjoyment during its operating season, generally expected to be within the range of 78-82°F (25.5-27.8°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? This pool receives mixed reviews, with many praising its massive size, which helps it feel uncrowded even during busy times, and appreciate features like dedicated lap lanes, good food (especially loaded fries), great music, and a fun slide. It's also highlighted as an affordable and enjoyable venue for children's parties, offering a dedicated section and friendly staff. However, several drawbacks are noted. Recent changes have made the deep end less relaxing for adults, as toddlers and floats are now permitted without a swimming test, and deep-end ladders are reportedly unstable. Other issues include the shallow kids' area being far from restrooms, debris (leaves) from trees in the pool, gnats and flies, grimey and outdated locker rooms, and insufficient parking on busy days. Some users also reported a peculiar powdery feeling after drying off.

My favorite pool!!! Dedicated lap lanes. Great food. Never feels crowded. You can bring your floats and water toys too.
Everything changed . Toddlers and small children now permitted in deep water makes adult swimming difficult . Deep water swimming test no longer necessary . Rafts and floats also in deep water . Not as relaxing and enjoyable for adults .Ladders in deep water in desperate need of repair ; unstable and loose.
It's alright. My biggest gripe is that the shallow area for the kids is all the way in the back (and this pool is massive), and there are no restrooms by it. Little kids need to pee! Especially my toddler who always feels like he needs to go when he gets into a cold pool. Thankfully he holds it instead of just letting go, but I can't imagine how many kids have just peed in the pool rather than power walk across the whole yard. The trees are nice and provide some shade on a hot day, but they contribute a lot of debris to the pool, which I thought was kinda gross. There were also a lot of little gnats and flies biting us, probably because of all the nature lol. Locker rooms also left something to be desired. I know pools don't usually have the cleanest facilities, but this one just looks like it hasn't been power washed since it was built in the 20s. Not a ton of actual trash, but just generally grimey. Parking is not great. They do have a fair amount, and it's free, but it's not enough on a hot day, apparently. We had to park down the street. They must use some kind of salt water filter or something (?), because I left feeling powdery after I dried off, which is not how I normally feel getting out of a pool. I'm not familiar with pool filter types so idk. Anyway, I'll probably try other pools in the area. I liked the big shallow area for my toddler, but this one wasn't my fave.
I had my sons bday party here. It was so great! You have an entire section to yourself at the pool area with 5 picnic tables. They provide trash cans which is nice since some places don't provide that. They are also super friendly. The pool is huge too! Even if it's busy it doesn't seem too crazy because the pool is massive which is nice. The party was super affordable to for a lower budget party. The kids enjoyed themselves and that what matters!
My favorite pool in the Pittsburgh area. It's huge, has great music, and the best loaded fries ever. The slide is great. It's not always the cleanest, but that's mostly just leaves.
