Emler is where magic happens! We switched to Emler about a year ago, starting from level 6, which is beginner level for my son’s age. Before Emler, he had already had a year of private lessons elsewhere, but he’s never overcome his fear of submerging under water. Emler is a turning point for him. I signed him up for a group lesson once a week for 30 minutes. In the first week, he was able to submerge his head underwater, which hasn’t happened in the past year of private lessons. I was so surprised! Looking back, I’ll never forget the moment of his first swim lesson when he asked for a towel to dry his face in the pool. Haha! By the way, all the instructors we had are amazing, thank you Patricia, Zac and Sam. They’re very courageous and patient.

I discovered Emlers after attending a birthday party with my 5 year old daughter and quickly enrolled her for swim lessons. She absolutely adores coach Sam! He has amazing rapport with children. Teaching them in a caring way that builds trust quickly and calm nerves. She looks forward to lessons every week! Absolutely recommend Emlers!! Side note: I also hosted a birthday party at Emlers, they make it so easy and the staff is wonderful!

We have had a great experience at Emler. First, their program is noticeably more comprehensive than other programs I’ve participated in. Second, their staff is amazing. Not only are they kind, they are organized and most importantly supportive of your child no matter where they are. If your kid is scared, crying, nervous, they can handle it. I’ve seen managers jump into the pool on numerous occasions including for my own child to help them when they need a little extra attention and assistance (not that the instructors can’t handle it but it makes for a better environment when there are multiple kids in a class). That being said, they do push children the right amount so that they’ll actually make progress. This was huge for us. Since my child was not a natural water baby, she really needed someone that would push her, get her over the hump, and build her confidence and they did just that (note: they always discussed this with me first to ensure I was comfortable with the plan). This is definitely not the closest option for us but we make the drive because it’s totally been worth it.

Every teacher my son has had along his swim lesson journey has been wonderful, we've been with Emler for over 2 years now. Joy has made every class silly and fun while still individually challenging each kid in class to improve from wherever they are starting from. Highly recommend!

We’ve been at Tualatin Emler for 2 years, since our son was 6 months old. He is such a great little swimmer now, and becoming more confident each week! We’ve had a couple teachers as he’s changed levels, and they’ve all been wonderful! His teacher, Thaly, is so patient and he pushes our sons skills in the kindest way. He gives us a report after every lesson specific to our sons skills and doesn’t ever complain when we have a toddler attitude or fit lol :) we love Tualatin Emler!
