This intimate theater generally receives positive feedback for its clean facilities and well-regarded performances, which range from ballet and plays to jazz, often described as meticulously produced. Seating is considered adequate, if not always incredibly comfortable. While the sound system garners mixed reviews, with some finding it good and others noting issues with clarity or balance during plays, the lighting is generally effective, though stair lighting was noted as potentially too bright by one user. The lobby is spacious and inviting. A significant highlight is the theater program itself, praised for its friendly, kind, and caring staff who foster a supportive community. Many reviewers express a desire to return or recommend the venue, despite a minor concern about stair accessibility for older patrons.

I recently went here for a ballet performance for my daughter. The theater isn't large and is more intimate. Seats were ok, not incredibly comfortable but in ok shape. The theater looked clean. The sound system was good. The lights on the wall to light up the stairs were a little too bright and blinding. Maybe they need to be angled more at the stairs or something. The lobby was nice and open with some areas to sit.
After seeing a play here for the first time this week, I’ll definitely be back! The staff was friendly and admission was easy. The theatre itself is comfy and the visuals were great. The sound system seems to need some significant updating (hard to hear actors but super load blown out instrumental) but I understand that can be pricey for a community college especially. The theatre program here is doing a great job!
Great jazz! Can’t believe Kassa Overall was drumming with the legendary Gary Bartz here!
Since starting at Mount Hood Community College, the theater program has definitely been the highlight of my year. The program is run by so many wonderful, kind, and caring individuals that I would trust with my life. I have met some of my best friends here and the productions are put on with the most intricate amount of care. Definitely consider seeing a production here because if you do, you're not only witnessing a performance of a lifetime, but you're also witnessing (and supporting) the most loving community thrive.
Except for the stairs because of my age. This theater was great and the seats were well enough . The stage was nice and the lighting and sound system worked great. If I needed to put a show together this would be a nice place to use.
