What are people saying (AI review summary)? Peninsula Pool generally receives positive feedback, praised for being well-maintained, clean, and having friendly, helpful staff, particularly lifeguards who are noted for their kindness and understanding. Many reviewers recommend swim lessons and appreciate the pool as a lovely neighborhood spot with amenities like murals and a nearby rose garden. However, common issues include significant parking challenges due to the park's busyness, and uncomfortable, flimsy plastic chairs on the pool deck, leading some to suggest bringing personal folding chairs. There were also isolated incidents such as computer breakdowns causing slower check-ins, which staff handled well, and one negative report concerning a staff member having a breakdown, resulting in a poor experience for that individual. Families with younger children are advised to attend early afternoon sessions to avoid larger crowds of teens and young adults.

Pennisula Pool is well maintained clean. The line inside along the sidewalk is safe and orderly, with a friendly and helpful staff. Pennisula Park itself is busy, so parking was a challenge throughout the summer. I often had to let my older kids out to wait in line, as I circled the park for a reasonably close spot. The only other negative was one of two computer broke downs making the line to get inside slower. The staff did a good job making those waiting in line aware of the issue, and worked quickly to check people in. I highly suggest you bring your own folding chair. If you are a larger person, I would suggest you avoid the plastic chairs as they are uncomfortable, flimsy, and liable to break. It's the biggest negative of the pool deck experience. Another suggestion for families with younger kids is to attend the early afternoon open swim session. The earlier session attracts fewer teens and young adults than the week day later afternoon swim sessions.
Peninsula pool is such a lovely neighborhood spot. Check out the beautiful murals, try the water aerobics, go for a walk in the rose garden before or after your swim. I am so grateful for the people who envisioned and built our public parks & pools.
My kiddo is taking swim lessons here. Everything about this pool and park is lovely. I recommend swim lessons here.
Loved my experience at Peninsula!! Incredibly kind lifeguard staff, I even befriended the Mann sisters!! My two toddlers were very safe and the staff was very kind and understanding when we had a “Code Brown” in the shallow end! We will be returning next summer!
2nd time at this place! Now there is a staff member having some sort of break down. This place needs to seriously get it together! I have never had back to back bad experiences!
