Indoor swimming pool with an Olympic size format, plus helpful staff and workouts.
Specific, exact pool temperatures for the North Providence Pool & Fitness Center are not consistently published online. However, public facilities typically maintain their lap pools around 80-82°F (27-28°C), leisure or recreation pools are often a few degrees warmer, and therapy pools are generally kept at a higher temperature, typically in the range of 90-92°F (32-33°C), to aid in rehabilitation and relaxation.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the facility are mixed, with a strong focus on dissatisfaction regarding pool access and amenities. Several users complain about extremely limited 'open swim' hours, particularly inconvenient for those who work standard hours, and conflicts with other programs like 'masters swim' which reduce available lanes. There are also complaints about staff attempting to close early. A significant recurring issue is the pool being consistently cold, making it unenjoyable for children and impacting swimming classes. Furthermore, users express frustration over the permanent closure of the hot tub and the continued closure of the sauna, which is attributed to 'Covid' by the facility, despite calls for normalization. Reduced operating days (closed Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) without a corresponding discount on membership rates also contribute to negative sentiment. On the positive side, one reviewer appreciates the convenience of swimming access, the Olympic-size pool, and its suitability for exercise.

I pay every month to use the pool just for them to have limited "open swim" hours. Mostly only in the morning and early afternoons. What about the people who work until 4/5/etc? They're not even open on weekends. They have open swim from 7-8 Mondays and Wednesdays but at the same exact time they have masters swim which takes up a bunch of lanes and then to top it all off they try to kick you out at 745 instead of 8 so that they can leave. What is the point? If I'm paying every month for this I should be able to access the pool when I can, not when you tell me I can and then have limited swimming hours available.
The pool is always cold, no heat! it's been two weeks now the kids can't enjoy the water. Today the swimming classes took 10 min.I will not renew my kid membership again at this place and will not recommend it to anyone that is looking for pool or swimming classes. we paid money but we cannot enjoy the reason we paid it for. Not good at all!!
They used to have sauna, and now they have close because “Covid”, I think it's time to get over all this and start normalizing things, you guys have enough staff to maintain all the facilities well, please open the sauna again
