Outdoor pool featuring a splash pad, a shallow end, and a gradual walk-in entrance.
Specific, maintained pool temperatures for the Town Pool in Canton, MA, are generally not publicized, as it is an outdoor facility whose water temperature naturally fluctuates with ambient weather conditions and is not typically heated to a fixed degree.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews generally praise the splash pad as a "great" and "wonderful addition" that is free and open to all, serving as an excellent way to keep children occupied. The pool is also well-received for its setup, including a gradual walk-in entrance that accommodates various swimming abilities. While the overall area is appreciated for additional recreational activities like walking and fishing, a major point of contention is the pool's residents-only policy. Some reviewers criticize this as classist and restrictive, questioning why public land isn't open to all. Conversely, others support the policy, citing past issues with overcrowding and full parking lots, believing it ensures residents can enjoy the facilities. Parking is mentioned as a potential problem, with the residency rule potentially alleviating this. A significant negative point raised is the "disgusting bathroom."

Nice place to go for a walk, walk a dog, fish, or just watch nature. And oh, there is a pool here.
Grew up with this pool and now my kids get to grow up with it too. The new splash pad is a wonderful addition. Yes, it is now residents only... but residents who were trying to come last year only to have to leave due to a constantly full parking lot might finally have a chance to enjoy the pool. So kudos to canton rec dept for that. Splash pad is still free and open to all.
Great little splash pad in the area. Easy to get to. I'm told parking can be a problem, but haven't experienced it. This is definitely a place I'll take the kids again. Only reason for a 4 instead of a 5. ...Disgusting bathroom... Ending on a positive.... Splashpad is free
WHY NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC? MUST WE BE ACCOMPANIED BY A CANTON RESIDENT? if you want to keep your view of "undesirables" out raise the price but don't block people just trying to have a swim on public land. Feels like classism! Shame on you!!!
I love the setup of the pool, with a gradual walk-in entrance, and the ripped off deep end, keeps it safe for those not great at swimming but also allows plenty of room for those you can. The splash pad is also a great way to keep kids busy during Adult Swim
