Recreation facility offering a swimming pool and a gym, plus basketball courts and a hot tub.
The Image Management Family Branch typically features both a main lap pool and a warm water pool. While specific temperatures for this exact branch are not explicitly published on their primary public information sources, YMCAs generally maintain lap pools around 80-82°F (26.7-27.8°C) for comfortable swimming and warmer pools for therapy, lessons, or family use often around 88-90°F (31.1-32.2°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Racine family YMCA receives highly mixed reviews. Positive feedback highlights it as an outstanding community asset with a wide range of options, including gym, pools, and classes for all ages, and praises the friendly, welcoming staff, deeming it a vital center for community and family activities. The family pass is noted as affordable for a day's outing, particularly for pool use. Conversely, a significant number of reviews criticize the YMCA for being extremely expensive, greedy, and charging more than other YMCAs, often adding new fees. Many also report poor facility maintenance, with rundown and old equipment (ripped padding, frayed cables, torn flooring) and machines that remain broken for weeks. Complaints extend to rude front desk staff, a generally disgusting environment, and freezing locker rooms. Additionally, there are issues with poor communication, including unanswered calls and difficulty obtaining information about programs like children's swim lessons, leading to accusations of being poorly run. Several reviewers suggest better alternatives are available for lower prices and with superior facilities.

The Racine family YMCA is an outstanding community asset offering a fantastic range of options for all ages, from the gym and pools to diverse fitness classes. What truly makes it shine is the incredibly friendly and dedicated staff who create a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere. More than just a gym, it’s a vital center for community programs, youth development, and family activities. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a place that promotes health, connection, and a positive experience for the whole family!
Extremely expensive for what you get. The gym is poorly maintained and most of the equipment becoming rundown with ripped padding and frayed cables and torn flooring. When a machine breaks it may be broken for weeks with a sign saying it is unusable. To anyone reading this please do not waste your money your family would be better suited and better taken care of at one of the other gyms in town. The staff at the front desk is extremely rude on a regular basis regardless of if you are simply passing through to say hi or you actually have a question they are always upset to stop their discussion or have to put their phone down. The gym is becoming quite disgusting and for a government funded extremely high charging facility it seems to be ran by people that care nothing for their customers. So much more is offered elsewhere for an incredibly lower price. Try the new facility on Washington ave called Vasa. The competent staff and incredible equipment are refreshing and for the price you get your families money worth and then some.
We had a really great day here with little kids. The family pass was a very affordable way to spend the day for a group of 6 people. We only utilized the pool, but the kids had a great time. The lady at the front desk was very welcoming and answered any questions we had. The only thing I would suggest is that the temperature in the changing rooms increases by like 10-15 degrees. The locker rooms were freezing and felt like only 50 degrees. For wet kids that is just too cold. We will definitely be back and can't wait to partake in the family swim movies.
Worst YMCA ever they are greedy and charge more than any other ymca they also have the worst facilities so it makes no sense old equipment nothing has been updated since they opened and they keep coming up for more fees for members when this is supposed to be non for profit shame on yall. Will be going to kenosha from now on.
They never answer the phone or call you back. I've been trying to get information about children's swim lessons for a year now! If you actually do speak to a person they don't have the schedule and don't know when they will have it. Poorly ran.
