What are people saying (AI review summary)? This pool receives mixed reviews. Many patrons appreciate its size, amenities like a 12-foot deep end, tube slide, and separate kiddie pool, as well as the presence of good staff and an outstanding aqua aerobics class. However, several concerns are noted, including dated facilities, less-than-desirable changing rooms, and inaccuracies in posted public hours. A significant safety incident was reported where a child nearly drowned during a swim class due to staff inattention, leading to severe criticism regarding accountability, the handling of the situation by management, and a recommendation for parents to seek swim lessons elsewhere.

A great pool that has truly held its own in Escondido. Lovely people, great staff (i.e. Joe, Terri, Michael) it’s a privilege to still have this pool here!
Big with 12' deep end and tube slide. Separate kiddie pool. Loads of benches and some shade scattered around
My 3-year-old almost drown during class. Another child pushed my son off the underwater platform the little kids stood on during class. Submerging him underwater while the teacher was swimming with another child. The teacher was unaware he was under water and it took me shouting twice as loud as I could "get him" as I rushed to him from the bleachers where they make the parents watch from, before any of the lifeguards or his teacher noticed. A male lifeguard threatened to call the police because I told them it was unacceptable how long my son was under water and none of them noticed. I told them they dropped the ball and when they drop the ball they put our kids' lives at stake. They should be taking responsibility and apologizing. The Aquatic superivor believes they did a good job because my son didnt stop breathing. They could have used this situation to learn and make changes but they would rather gaslight parents. Theres no accountability, It's a tragedy waiting to happen. Keep your kids safe and take them somewhere else for swim lessons.
The pool is a bit dated and changing rooms leave a bit to be desired, but for lap swimming or recreational use it a nice pool. They have an outstanding aqua aerobics class lead by one of the best aqua instructors you will ever find.
It's a decent pool but it says the hours include during the week (on google) which it does not. It's only open for lessons, not to the public, during the week. And the lessons we could do (for our childs age and time) have been cancelled.
