What are people saying (AI review summary)? Sengme Oaks Water Park evokes strong nostalgia for many, with the return of classic slides and the mushroom fountain being a highlight. Several reviewers praised it as a fun, family-friendly destination that isn't overly crowded, especially on weekdays, with excitement for planned improvements like bigger slides and a lazy river. Positive staff attitudes were noted by some, and the park saved the day for families in hot weather. However, the park also faces significant criticism. Issues include unenthusiastic staff, noticeable algae in pools raising health concerns, and hot walking surfaces to slides. A particularly negative experience involved the park closing shortly after a group paid due to weather, with no refund provided despite assurances, leading to accusations of dishonesty and deep disappointment.

Gagggghhhhhhhhh !!!!!! š„¹šš„°š„¹šš„° Itās just like it was 30 years ago⦠only better!!!! Staff say they are improving the two sets of bigger slides up on the hill and theyāre adding a lazy river but for me, itās the mushroom umbrella waterfall. Everything is modest for now as far as the parking area is still dirt and the snack bar is tiny, but they have some merch going and great attitudes⦠and I will keep my eye on this place if I were you. Itās gon be LIT š„ or whatever the kids are saying these days.
Iām gonna give this place a 4 but it very well could be a 5 if some changes were made. The āstaffā just didnāt seem to want to be there today. I was able to communicate with a couple of them but most just seemed bored. The pools had much algae in them, Iām immune to most bacteria but they definitely need to get some chemical in the water to kill some of the algae. It was almost 104 today so this place saved the day. Definitely bring water shoes because you will get blisters waking to the slides and up the steep hills. Instead of walking up a slope the could have put steps in. We had a good time as a family and enjoyed watching others have fun too. I just hope none of us get sick.
āāāā I took my brother, his girlfriend, my husband, and our two kids (ages 14 and 2) to Sengme Oaks Water Park, and we all had an absolute blast! š It was so nostalgic for meāthis place brought back so many memories from my weekends here during the summer of 7th and 8th grade in the early 90s. š Can't believe all the old slides are back, along with the iconic mushroom fountain! š Everyone had a great time, and we went on a Thursday, which was perfect. We easily found a shady table and didn't have to wait in long lines for the slides. š It was a day filled with fun, laughter, and a trip down memory lane. Highly recommend! š
Awesome waterpark! Not crowded, pools and slides are perfect for kids, but still fun for adults. Canāt wait to see what else they build, and keep coming back! :)
Previously we enjoyed this water park as a family but we went there with a large group for a birthday party. After paying to get everyone in we were told the pool was closed for the next 10 minutes because there had been some thunder. After getting in the park and waiting and spending an additional $50 at the snack stand to entertain our kids we were told that the park was closing down. They wouldnāt give us a refund even though we werenāt able to even touch the water for that hour. We are so disappointed that they wouldnāt refund us our money after essentially tricking us to pay before telling us the park was closing. One employee ensured us we would get a refund only to be told at the gate that they wouldnāt give us one. We are very disappointed and feel this was incredibly dishonest.
