Took the family to Dollywood this past Monday. It was our first time visiting and it was GREAT! We are a central Florida family and theme parks are our life and Dollywood gives all the Orlando parks a run for their money. The fall decorations are up and really cute. We chose Monday for the smaller crowds and there was almost no wait for anything. The park has rides for all ages and tons of food and snack options. I highly recommend eating Aunt Grannies for lunch! The Dolly experience was really cool to walk through and see how she came from nothing to being who she is today. Our whole family loves Dolly!
I always love going to Dollywood—it's one of those places that just puts you in a good mood. The park itself is absolutely beautiful, especially all the flowers they have throughout. It's clear they put a lot of care into the landscaping, and it really adds to the experience. One of my favorite things is how they’ve set up water misters all over the park. On a hot day, those are a lifesaver. Such a thoughtful touch to help people stay cool while walking around. That said, the one thing that really frustrates me is the ride wait times. It’s not so much the waiting itself (30–40 minutes is kind of expected), but more how short the rides are in comparison. It takes longer to load people in than the ride itself lasts. Even in the afternoon, when there wasn’t really a line, the rides still felt like they were over in a flash. It’s hard not to feel a little let down. Overall, Dollywood is still a favorite of mine, and I’ll definitely keep going back—but I do wish the rides lasted just a little longer to make the wait more worth it.
Loved it! Place is so well done. Shaded through out so it makes for a more comfortable visit. Food although very expensive is yummy, and they do let you fill up water bottles throughout the park as well. Rides are fun with little to no wait times. Bald Eagle enclosure was awesome too. We did manage to come across a snake during our walk so just be mindful of your steps when going down the paths, lucky ours was down by the river out of the way. Stores are all different, so visit each one for a different vibe. Some rides are a bit bumpy, and rattle you around so take the right precautions to protect yourself. Definitely will be returning.
Something for everyone in the family! Great theme park! I came when I was a little girl and always loved it, now I bring my children! I appreciate at the entrance there is a place for children to be measured so we know what rides they can ride and a wrist band that shows it. Wait times were quick in the beginning of the day but got longer as the day progressed. We loved the indoor play place! Great place to bring your family!
Great them park. A lot of big rides and an area with some smaller/carnival type rides. Dolly experience area has some museum type places that are cool to see. The eagle show was cool but all other shows were typical music performances. Train was okay, a lot of hype to ride for a 20 minute, very loud ride. Visited on a Monday in September and the park was super empty, no lines for any ride! The lights are night were really cool to see too! Only 4 stars because tickets are over $90 a person which adds up very quickly
