Allen Pool, officially known as the St. Clairsville City Pool, is a municipal outdoor swimming facility located at 200 Walnut Ave in St. Clairsville, OH, within Allen Park. It serves as a popular seasonal destination for local residents during the summer months. The pool typically features a main swimming area, diving boards, water slides, and a separate wading pool for younger children, offering a family-friendly recreational environment.
As a standard outdoor municipal pool, the temperature of Allen Pool is primarily determined by ambient weather conditions and sunlight. Specific, maintained pool temperatures are not typically publicly advertised or set, as it is generally an unheated facility that warms naturally throughout the summer season.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Overall, visitors generally enjoy the pool, highlighting its fun atmosphere, cleanliness, and attentive lifeguards. The season pass is considered excellent value. Recent remodels have significantly improved restrooms, adding working showers and a dedicated handicap restroom, addressing prior complaints about cleanliness. However, there's mixed feedback regarding the splash pad (with some noting its temporary removal but planned return) and a recurring request for extended operating hours and more shaded areas.

We bought a season pass this was our first experience going to this pool. The boys and I enjoy it so much it is very clan and well maintained the lifeguard’s are very alert and always keeping a watchful eye out. The changing rooms are clean the snack bar is reasonable with hotdogs pretzel ice cream ect. There are a lot of lounge chairs and a few tables with umbrellas
We had a great time. Only downfall is the restroom. It's disgusting and they need showers. My little one loved the splash pad but she did sat it made her feet sore.
Nice pool. Very friendly staff. Really really NEEDS a kiddie pool/ splash pad for little ones!!! Definitely could use some shaded areas. And also longer hours…. 6pm closing is way too early for working families.
There's a nice shady area near restrooms now. They did a complete remodel. Have nice changing area, working showers and updated restroom stalls. Also a devoted handicap restroom. The splash pad is gone but have plans for it's return next summer .
So fun big slide no judgemental zones.. lifeguards are ON IT ! I love it and thr pool pa's is cheap! Family of 7 100 bucks the whole season and my kids go almost very day
