Public pool with a playground offering summer swimming for families at an affordable price.
The main pool at Fairmont Pool is maintained at a warm temperature of 91 degrees Fahrenheit (33 degrees Celsius).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? Reviews for the pool are mixed. Many praise the staff for being kind, friendly, helpful, and professional, and note the pool is generally clean and well-lifeguarded. However, a common complaint is the significant lack of shade, especially in the concrete areas, making it uncomfortable for non-swimmers. Other criticisms include a policy of charging everyone who enters (swimming or not), the basic nature of the facility (no diving board, slide, or snack area), and an unpopular rule against goggles with nose covers, which was sometimes enforced rudely. One review also expressed concern about a lifeguard's visible self-harm scars impacting a sense of safety.

For an older pool, pretty well maintained. I was disappointed to learn though that they charge for everyone entering the facility, whether they are swimming or not. The facility is pretty basic - no diving board, slide, or snack area, and very little shade. The price is reasonable though and for my 10 year old, it works.
Uglies swimming pool I have ever been to. Lifeguard female( or male??) had both arms COVERED in scars from what is obviously self harming by cutting. Wouldn't feel comfortable with unstable person like that looking after safety of my child.
Fairmont is definitely my favorite of all the outdoor city pools. The managers, lifeguards and staff at Fairmont are super kind and friendly, helpful and professional.
Like coming here to swim. Really wish they would explain more as to why we can't wear goggles with nose covers. Seems highly unreasonable for people that are good at swimming. I understand that it could probably be a risk for kids that are younger than 12 but I don't think it should be for everybody. Lifeguard was also really rude when asking us to not use them.
If your there to just watch kids swim it's a miserable place. There is literally no shade! They have a huge concrete area with no umbrellas to provide shade. That's the only issue I have with Fairmont pool. It's clean, well lifeguarded and a nice grassy area. Just no shade.
