What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews present a mixed experience with the swimming school. Positive feedback frequently highlights effective teaching methods that lead to rapid progress for young children, small class sizes, and initially, a highly praised, attentive, and welcoming staff, including specific coaches and management. However, several recent reviews express strong dissatisfaction, particularly following a change in ownership. These negative experiences include allegations of broken promises regarding swim team continuity and the misuse of fundraised equipment. Multiple reviewers describe the current staff as rude, disobedient, incompetent, and irresponsible, citing instances of children being mistreated, denied entry, or not receiving proper instruction, causing significant distress to both children and parents. Concerns about staff turnover and a perceived lack of respect for children are also raised.

I don’t leave many reviews but my daughter absolutely loves this class so I wanted to share! My 3yo daughter loves the water (wants to put her face in all the time and swim….only she can’t swim yet!) This class has been the perfect class for her. Max of 4 kids in the class is great because she gets one on one time with an instructor and then gets to observe other kids. Upon their recommendation, I started her in the lowest level (Starfish) which tends to be kids who maybe don’t love water in their eyes (or maybe being in the water at all). After only a few weeks my daughter is able to not only pull herself out of the pool (something she never did before), but also float on her back for almost 20 seconds!! These are incredible milestones I could not have imagined she would achieve in such a short period of time. I think maybe one more week at this level and she’ll be moving on to the next!! I’m so excited about this program for her! Everyone I have engaged with at the BSS Stoneham have been fantastic! Her coach Brayden is the sweetest. The guy on the pool deck running the programs is great. The owner, Peter, and a staff person, Christine are fabulous!! Pro Tips: Programs like this do not work for every child, so just be sure to read the documentation before signing up. Also, I took the time to observe a class before signing my daughter up so if you can, go watch. And, message the staff if you have any questions or concerns…they are incredibly responsive.
Everyone is very attentive and welcoming! My son loves his lessons.
The school was great until new ownership took over. Was a loyal customer until they made empty promises to the swim team kids to keep their team around through summer. They even sold off equipment the kids fundraised and pocketed the money saying they are going to keep the pool. Pool has been given to another team already all lies. I’m not even sure the same instructors that were good still work for them. From what I know a bunch left.
I wanted to share with everyone this is the worst swimming school I have ever indulge my son in for learning swimming. Moreover, the staff of this club very disobedient, rude, mannerless and incompetent for teaching lessons to children. They were not teaching my son lessons and they were very rude with him. This shows lack of responsibility of club’s staff. I applied two times for enrolling in the club. However, I didn’t get any good results. Apart from that, when I try to talk with instructor, he was rude with me. Moreover, they denied my child’s entry in the pool just because he was excited for entering in the pool. Because of this my son cried a lot, I am very angry and upset with the club’s staff behaviour. I suggest no one should indulge their children in this club. They are very irresponsible at dealing with children. This is a very bad club with indisciplined staff.
