Love this place. I've lived in Plano for 5 years and did not know about this place. It is not only beautiful to look at but we'll taken care of. The lifeguards are all young but so friendly and attentive. The attractions are different enough for all ages. Attractions: surf board/wave area (can be a bit of a wait), small rock climbing, lazy river with an area to lay and sun bathe under some fountains, a slide for a tube, a slide for no tube, a kiddie area and a regular pool with basketball/volleyball equipment. They sell small snacks and drinks and allow you to come back in same day with your receipt. You can bring a cooler for drinks or food.
Overall Jack Carter Pool is clean and has a lot of activities for little kids however, most of the female lifeguards are extremely rude. No smiles and when asked a question u would think you asked them to create a 7 course meal. Also spoke with a couple that was also there complaining about the females as well. Is this a requirement to be a stuck up snoot? Please provide more training for professionalism and then I would happily provide a 5 star review!
For the past two summers we've been going here as a family three to five times a week. It can get a little crowded and the lines for the slides can get a little long. But we have yet to be able to find a seat. The covered seating is always taken quickly and so if you would like the covered seating either wait for it or get there when it first opens. The diving platforms are always fun also the rock walls. Overall the pool is clean plenty of parking. You're able to bring in your own food if that's something that is important to you. You can also bring pool toys to die for or play with. There's a little kiddie pool section as well which works for the little ones. It's a good place to take the family lots of staff lockers if you want to lock up your things. If you don't have the membership to get in it's $5 per person. On the hot and sunny days it can get a little crowded in the water FYI. Bring your sunscreen!
Great place! Went with a church group and we had a great time! Admission was reasonable for non-Plano residents. There was enough to do to engage the 18 kids we brought for several hours. We were able to bring our own food in to save on concessions. The highlight was my daughter getting to try the wave master surf machine. Cool stuff!
We always have a blast at Jack Carter! We love toddler splash time and the lazy river! The lifeguards and check-in staff are always kind and helpful. Thanks for the memories!
