My 3-year-old daughter takes swim lessons at the British Swim School in Arvada, and her teacher Grace has been absolutely wonderful! My little one is very energetic and always eager to jump right into the water, but Grace knows exactly how to handle her with patience, humor, and confidence. She makes the lessons fun and playful while still keeping my daughter safe and focused. What I really appreciate is how Grace gives her confidence, even when my daughter is restless, Grace uses encouragement and lighthearted humor to help her feel comfortable and capable in the water. We’ve already noticed such a positive difference in her comfort level and skills, and most importantly, she loves coming to class. Thank you, Grace, for making swim lessons such a great experience for our family!

I took all my makeup adult lessons at this location with Coach Sam F and Liz as a substitute. I had a great experience as a beginner student. While my lessons were mostly done at another location, when I had to do makeups here it was a seamless experience and I still picked up skills I was working to gain. During my makeups, we focused on refining technique, increasing distance and picking up how to tread. The water at this location is deeper and wider (for someone who is 5”1), so this pool was excellent for me to work on treading and freestyle. Coach Sam F has an attentive, patient and intuitive approach to teaching that I really appreciated. Liz really helped me slow down and refine my freestyle technique. Having tried lessons at another swim school before joining British Swim School, I believe BSS hires the best instructors.

We’ve been with British Swim School for about 4 years now and have enjoyed the experience. When this location opened up we were excited because it became much more convenient for us. Our 6 and 4 year olds love swimming because of their time here. They have learned the important parts of water safety, being able to jump/fall in and float and get to safety. The older kiddo can do freestyle, back stroke, breast stroke and tread water for a long time. We’ve enjoyed our teachers as they are engaging and patient. Current favorite coaches are Yasha, Keith and Christian. We appreciate the flexibility with class times and rescheduling which we’ve taken advantage of and another big reason why we’ll continue sending our kiddos there.

I don't like leaving a negative review, but I don't want what happened to us to happen to anyone else. Our child has been reluctant to take swim lessons and has had great anxiety around water. It was the day of our first swim lesson and four hours before the lesson our child had a panic attack. We decided this wasn't the time to start and called BS to let them know we'd changed our minds and would not need their services. It was Saturday, so we emailed and called the facility to let the instructor know 3 hours in advance - which was appreciated. I filled out the online forms to terminate what had been a few days membership. On Monday I talked with Nikki Taylor about a refund (I expected it would be no problem since we'd never had a lesson and did not want to receive services.) but she refused and said they'd keep the money in case we changed our minds. I told her we would not be changing our minds, but it made no difference. It is a ridiculous policy and completely unfair. If I'd known this was their policy I'd never signed up. We were out a couple hundred dollars! We have since found amazing and gentle instruction at Little Kickers! Our child loves going and we are seeing progress. My suggestion to Nikki and the BS company, stop with the "BS"!! When you've rendered no services you should receive no compensation. Otherwise what separates you from any other crook?!
