What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Central Park Recreation Center receives generally positive feedback, often described as a clean, spacious, and well-equipped 'hidden gem' with ample covered parking. Many users praise the facility's extensive and child-friendly swimming pool, noting its cleanliness and amenities like provided vests and seating in the lap pool. The exercise area is also highlighted for its premium equipment, often available without significant waits, and a good selection of weights. Staff are frequently commended for being friendly, warm, and responsive. However, one significant negative review details an experience of alleged racial discrimination and an unhelpful manager, presenting a stark contrast to the otherwise positive user experiences.

Really great swimming pool for kids , also provide swimming vests for kids that need them or just in general. Kids swimming area is just perfect for them , deeper side of the swimming pool is a bit cold but nothing they can’t handle. 😊 Will be coming here more often with the kids as they really liked it and had fun
One of the worst rec centers out there. I've been followed around this place multiple times, even to the restroom. Something about my skin color didn't sit well with the people who run this place. I filed a complaint with the manager, Elizabeth (Lizo). She couldn't care less. Lizo, I hope you move on somewhere else soon. Hate is on the rise
It was our first visit so admission was free. This place was clean spacious and bright there was premium exercise equipment thought the facility. We came for the pool which was large child friendly and very clean. Even the lap pool was very child friendly as it has spots for children to sit in the water while you swim laps. Over all probably the cleanest and best rec center pool in the state of Colorado. Would return!!!
Denver’s Central Park Recreation Center is a hidden gem. It is a gorgeous facility that offers all sorts of activities for the mind, body and soul. I was introduced to the center through a meeting in the Multi-Purpose room. Visiting the center was an eye opener. There is ample parking in covered spaces. The layout of the facility is open and inviting with enough exercise equipment available to eliminate fear of waiting. Last, but not least, the staff is warm and helpful.
I’ve been going here a few days a week for a few months now, for a mix of weight lifting and cardio. Staff has always been friendly and responsive to requests like refilling the cleaning wipes/paper towels. I usually go between 3 and 4:30 on weekdays and haven’t had to wait for a bike, elliptical, or rower. Minimal waits for weight machines and people are generally fine with you hopping in, in between sets. There are plenty of dumbbells, kettle bells, a medicine ball set and full barbell set. Overall can’t complain!
