What are people saying (AI review summary)? Goldfish Swim School receives mixed reviews from customers. Many families express high satisfaction, praising the wonderful, joyful, and knowledgeable staff, including managers, swim instructors (some of whom are bilingual), and administrative personnel. Positive feedback frequently highlights significant progress in children's swimming skills and confidence, with kids eagerly anticipating their lessons. The positive atmosphere, staff flexibility with scheduling, and perks like free Family Swim for members are also highly valued. However, several negative experiences focus on customer service and billing practices. Complaints include customers being unknowingly enrolled in memberships instead of single classes, leading to unexpected charges and difficulty obtaining refunds for services never rendered. Another significant concern involves the 'expiration' of pre-paid makeup classes if a membership becomes inactive due to non-payment, even in cases of a child's illness, leading to financial loss and a perception that the school prioritizes strict policy and profit over customer empathy and flexibility.

My two kids (2yo & 4yo) have been going here for months and we love it! The managers are wonderful and the swim staff are such a joy. The kids really look forward to their swim lessons, they would stay all day if they could. They have learned so much. Their confidence in the water is so much better, they are gaining skills each lesson. We love Goldfish Swim School!
I am very happy with my family’s experience at Goldfish, we love the progress my grandson has made in the water, gaining confidence every class, and reinforcing the skills during the Family Swim hour, (which is free for members every Monday and we try not to miss it), I cannot recommend this school enough, as soon as you walk in the door everyone greets you with a smile, all the staff works hard and they are very flexible with your schedule, Heather and Mariah have been very helpful, as soon as we communicate with them they go above and beyond assisting us, they also have very good instructors, some of them speak Spanish, our favorite coach is Adriana, and we enjoy our conversations with Jameson while he practices his Spanish too!
I was taking my infant here for swim classes and will not be returning. This place only cares about money and not customer service. I had been going to swim classes for about 4 months and therefore had acquired about 6 makeup tokens in that time to use for the future. Well my baby ended up getting ear infections so for the at least the first half of July I called to let them know we will not be in class. Because he was not going to be in class I did not pay for the month of July at the beginning of the month because of the uncertainty of his ear infections. Apparently because I didn’t pay and have an “active” membership all the makeup classes that I paid for in the past “expired”. Meaning at least $150 goes down the drain. And in order for me to get access to the makeup classes again I had to pay for weekly classes again. No one was willing to work with me in getting access to my makeup classes I originally paid for. The manager said it’s “policy” that I pay for weekly classes again in order to have an “active membership” (I even asked if I can pay for 1 class a month and she said that’s still not technically an “active” membership). Now I’m sure they’re going to comment on this review looking like they tried to remedy the situation but I can guarantee you their only remedy is to have me pay more money to get access to my classes I already paid for but they took away. Please take your business elsewhere. I am a young single mom who was just trying to do something special for my baby with the little money I could put aside for fun activities for him. They took my money instead. So thanks goldfish swim school. I hope you keep taking family’s money.
I almost never write reviews because I usually find that businesses are usually trying to do the right thing by their clients. I signed my 2 year old up for what I believed was a single swim class so that we could feel things out. I even had a conversation at check-in about trying things out. They never said I was signed up for a membership. Apparently, you cannot sign up for a single class. Nothing said anything about a required membership. So over the course of two months, I was charged $225 and received no services for this, not a single visit to the facility. When I caught it on my CC, I thought it was an honest mistake. To my surprise, they refused to offer me a refund and said there was fine print in the consents that says its a membership. * I've had an opportunity to re-read the consent and nowhere does it say monthly memberships are required. I work in a service industry and this seemed very shady to me. They wouldn't lose anything by offering the refund as they provided nothing for it. They'd rather lose a potential client than do the right thing. I definitely would not take my child here.
