Relaxed community center featuring a gym, basketball courts, multiple pools and spin classes.
While specific daily pool temperatures for the main community pool are not publicly advertised, it is typically heated to a comfortable recreational temperature during its open season. The hot tub is maintained at a significantly warmer temperature, generally between 100-104°F (38-40°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The facility is generally praised as a nice community center with good amenities, including two pools, well-equipped exercise areas with machines and free weights, and various fitness classes and open gym sports. It's highlighted as a wonderful community for families, offering year-round programs, special events with free entertainment for kids, and good kid care. It's also noted for being rarely crowded. However, significant criticisms include management issues (billing, pool maintenance, funds), an unpopular age restriction (16+) for the free weights area, and inconveniently short operating hours. Some new cardio equipment also lacks the TVs that were present on the old machines. Access is restricted to residents of the Anthem Highlands neighborhood or their guests.

Will they, won't they. Sort their billing system out, keep the pool open, manage the funds appropriately. This is the only thing that makes me not want to live here.
I've been going here over the summer, and their equipment is fantastic, and has always been a great workout, which is exactly why I'm so disappointed. A bit ago I was told that I had to be 16 to go in the free weights area, which is annoying as you can imagine. You really need a mixture of both machines and free weights for a good workout. I don't understand how a year of difference would deter someone who was looking to be a nuisance at the gym. Really disappointing that this rule is in place.
Note that only residents of the Anthem Highlands neighborhood, or their guests can access this facility. It's a very nice facility with nice locker rooms and 2 pools. They just replaced the cardio equipment but removed the TV's that were part of the old equipment, which didn't work great anyway. There are spinning classes and other classes as well as several informal walk up games of basketball and volleyball. Kid care is good and provided for a small fee. It's rarely crowded. Only reason I didn't give it higher score was that it closes at 9 on weekdays and 6 on weekends. I wish they would alternative early opening and late closing.
Parkside Center at Anthem Highlands is a wonderful community for families. They offer programs year around for the residents and truly go out of their way to offer the best experience for everyone! Most of their community events also offer FREE Facepainting and balloon twisting for the kiddos. They really go out of their way to make events special and care about the residence in their community.
