Positive aspects frequently mentioned include shaded areas for seating and picnics, a fun slide (appreciated by both kids and 'big kids'), a kid pool with features like a mushroom, and a deep area for swimming. Reviewers also appreciate the cleanliness, lack of strong chlorine smell, nice staff, and varied music selection. The pool is described as affordable, much-needed, and having pleasant, green surroundings. However, significant negatives include the removal of the diving board, inconvenient and unannounced closures during business hours, and a pervasive issue with the pool reportedly being closed or 'never open' for extended periods. There is also a strong sentiment that the city management is neglecting this important facility.

There's shaded areas to sit and a deep area to swim to the bottom. A fun slide to well...slide down š. Alas the diving board was removed. That used to be my favorite growing up. The staff is nice and they play a great variety of newer electronics and older rock like the Beatles. šš
This is a superb pool for the community and heartily enjoyed and needed in the area. Just perfect. It's a shame the El Pado City Manager is letting this important pool go to waste. It is needed by the citizens in this area. It is affordable and necessary.
Has never been open since I can remember
Love this pool. It's very convenient that they open in the afternoons so not a lot of sun is out. The kids loved the kid pool having the mushroom in the middle is a great idea and my big Kids can't get enough of the slide. I'm not a big swimmer myself so it was nice that the picnic tables shade. Will be returning for many years.
Typical pool, clean, not too much chlorine smell, they have showers before you get in. They fail to mention they close during business hours, and it's for about an hour or so twice a day. So make sure you ask before paying $$ the 2 dollars or so per person to get in. Picnic area under the shade, great spots to place belongings and specially if you have a stroller with you. The surrounding area is really nice, green and clean. For a second you forget your in El Paso.
