Public pool offering Olympic-size lanes, diving boards, and lessons.
The 50-meter competition pool is typically heated to maintain a temperature between 80-82 degrees Fahrenheit (26.7-27.8°C). The recreation pool is also heated, generally around 82-84 degrees Fahrenheit, while the splash pad is usually unheated.
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews for this indoor pool are overwhelmingly positive, with many patrons praising its affordability, large size, and the welcoming atmosphere. The staff, including specific instructors like Sam and Kaylee, and greeters like Lozza, receive high commendation for their friendliness, helpfulness, and dedication to safety. The water aerobics classes are particularly popular and well-received. While the pool is highly recommended for its value and facilities, including a diving board and heated water in winter, there is some contention regarding the policy of closing the indoor pool due to lightning. Some reviewers, including an industry professional, strongly defend these closures as essential safety measures, while others express frustration and perceive them as unnecessary or due to staff laziness. A minor point of improvement mentioned is the need for bathroom updates and more frequent cleaning.

My children and I absolutely love this pool. I have been in the pool business for over a decade and have my Operators License through the health department. I'd like to correct people like "Steven H." and many others. Just because lightning is not hitting your car in the parking lot doesn't mean it's safe to swim. The fact that it's an "indoor" pool will not prevent a death or injury during a storm. Tax dollars can't keep the uneducated out of the pool. The staff do an excellent job keeping everyone safe, trust them. Thank you for giving Jacksonville a much needed place to cool off and have fun.
The pool closed due to “lightning”. It’s a bright sunny day, and according to Apple’s Weather app, the smallest sign of rain should be at six. These people are lazy and won’t be fired cuz it’s government owned. This is disgusting what is happening to our tax dollars. Go here at your own risk.
Always a awesome and good time with water aerobics. The class consist of Sam and Kaylee as the instructors and they was amazing we always have a good time and good work out. Clayton was there in our class too and he made it funny and engaged well . Lozza always greets us nice everytime we come in and always welling to help . You can't miss her she has the pretty curly hair . I really enjoy this place my mom and I come to the night class all the time and we appreciate the staff . Keep up the good work .
Very nice in door pool, low risk of sun burns, very inexpensive (about $1.50 if out of county, cheaper if duval resident), lots of life guards, diving board, restrooms. Love this place. I suggest call first, the some times close for classes. Heated pool in the winter time. Thunder will have you out of the pool for 30 minutes. I would call first and check the weather first, but I recommend!!
I absolutely love this pool! It's the best kept secret! I really hope nothing changes, the price is super, the pool is very large and deep. The water is perfect! I love how everyone has good manners here! Lord, I hope that doesn't change. I absolutely love everything about this place. it needs to be more like this. My one only dislike is the bathrooms need updating and more cleaning... but that's it!
