We had a great time!!! We loved the area for the tiny kids. It has at least 8 slides at different levels for kids BELOW 42 inches tall. Aside from that it has games for them and plenty of space for parents to roam with their kids. There is another area for the medium kids. It has waters slides, water guns, bridges, and many water features. The rest of the park is very fun with the large slides. The food service was FAST!! (Unlike Rangin Waters that took us 45 min just to order nasty food) we had a Philly cheese steak sandwich, a hamburger, a Southwestern salad with chicken, cheese pizzas, cheese burger and different drinks including chocolate milk. The dressing rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are clean, the showers are separate from the restrooms and very clean. Plenty of parking with a safe area for pedestrians. Lastly, great areas with lounge chairs.
We bought tickets at the gate because of military discount but found out that the online tickets are the same price ($54.99) and no need to show military ID. The staff are all young but they were very friendly and always smiling. I haven't encountered one staff that was rude. The line for the big rides were long and over an hour's wait because it's a Sunday so we were fine waiting in line. We also did not reserve a cabana online and it was sold out when we got there - so If you want a cabana, book it ahead. However, there's plenty of tables to leave your stuff, but there's no shade and we're fine with that too. And our stuff were still there even after we left them for a couple of hours. The wave pool was also very enjoyable. Overall, we had a fun day spent with family and friends. A few of us came home with bug bites, it wasn't major but I had 4 on one leg and my friend had a few on her back and stomach. It's all part of the fun!
I bought tickets online, easy process. Came at opening, was smooth sailing. Rented a cabana, totally worth it if you can afford it. I highly recommend it. It also unlocks more items on the menu which are A LOT better than the standard food there. Comes with waters, a safe and USB charging. Monica, our cabana server was second to none. Very attentive, personable and awesome. She is the major reason I'm giving 5 stars. A couple rides were down but overall it was a great experience. Lines weren't long. Something to do for people of all ages.
As GPN residents, we’ve enjoyed supporting Wild Rivers and watching it evolve each season. It’s clear the park listens to feedback and works to improve the experience year after year. 2023: Waiver forms were filled out on paper, which caused long lines and generated a lot of unnecessary waste—not the most environmentally friendly system. 2024: Waivers went digital, and guests used wristbands. My wife lost her Google Pixel in the wave pool during play, but the manager we spoke to handled the situation kindly and asked the staff to keep an eye out. We were relieved and grateful when the phone was found and returned the next morning. 2025: The system improved even more. Guests could set up their own accounts and upload family photos ahead of time. No more wristbands needed, and I rarely saw any bees or wasps this season. Our kids love enjoying the water during summer vacation.
This waterpark, unfortunately, didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Several rides were closed, which created enormous wait times for the ones still operating. I ended up waiting 90 minutes for Tortura, which felt excessive. To make matters worse, I slipped and fell at the bottom of the slide, but that did give me the chance to visit the First Aid station, and I have to say they were fantastic. They took great care of my wound, and while I hope you never need their services, it’s good to know they’re excellent. We spent most of the day at the lazy river and Cook’s Cove, which were both pretty fun and relaxing. However, I couldn’t help but notice that the staff didn’t seem very happy in general, which is something I think the management should address.
