What are people saying (AI review summary)? The YMCA in Merrimack receives largely positive feedback, praised for its spacious and well-organized facility, updated equipment, and a wide variety of activities including strength training, aqua aerobics, basketball, swimming, and a sauna. The staff, particularly Allison at the front desk, are consistently highlighted for being warm, welcoming, helpful, and creating a positive atmosphere. The indoor track is noted as the largest among YMCAs. However, significant frustration is expressed regarding the pool being overbooked for swim lessons, making it difficult for members to find open lap lane times, especially during summer. Parking can also be tight, and while it's acknowledged as not cheap, many find the value worth it due to the numerous options, with financial assistance also available.

The YMCA in Merrimack is hands down my favorite of all the YMCAs I’ve been to. It’s incredibly spacious, well-organized, and filled with updated equipment that makes working out a pleasure. What really sets this location apart, though, is the staff. They are always warm, welcoming, and helpful. I want to especially recognize Allison at the front desk. She’s a true ambassador for the YMCA. Her radiant smile and fun hats bring joy not only to my day but clearly to many others as well. I’ve witnessed her go above and beyond for members on numerous occasions. She treats everyone with such genuine kindness, respect, and positivity. Kudos to this YMCA for creating such a wonderful atmosphere and for having team members like Allison who truly make a difference!
I'm leaving a one star as I'm extremely frustrated over this facilities over booking of the pool for swim lessons. It is extremely hard to find open time slots for open lap lanes. This is true particularly over the summer. This is extremely unfair to paying members like me who wish to share the pool!
Our first activity! Great run thank you for hosting this run. We had such a great time and am looking forward to next year, with more of us involved! Thank you for the well appreciated snacks for the runners and us spectators!
Largest indoor track for any Y I've seen so far (7 laps to a mile, ground-level). Parking can be a little tight.
Staff always greet you with a smile. Very clean. There is so much variety. In the past week I've done strength training, taken aqua aerobics, shot some hoops, swam laps, and took a sauna. It's not cheap, but if you will be using all the options it's definitely worth it. I do know there is finincial assistance available if needed. I really enjoy the atmosphere: this is truly an all-inclusive place.
