This is my second time in this park, my family loves this park, I already wrote a detailed review about it. On Sunday we decided to visit the pool. It opens at 11, but by 10.30 there was already a big line. Entrance is $5 per person. The pool area is large, the pool itself is also not small, the depth is from 3.7 to 4 fit. There is a diving board, there is always a line for it, but it moves quickly. There are also slides. The territory and toilets are clean. There is a lot of staff, everyone is polite, even if they make comments to someone, they do it in a friendly manner. There is grass around the pool, lawns where you can sunbathe and lay out a blanket. There is shade under the trees where you can hide from the sun. What we did not like. There were a lot of people, the pool was overcrowded by 12 o'clock, it is inconvenient to swim, this is an obvious drawback, perhaps they let in more people than necessary. I think that you can make the entrance a little more expensive, but limit the number of people, otherwise it is terrible. We had to leave, we felt uncomfortable. Also, most people behaved like savages, yelled, behaved terribly in the water, touched others, talked loudly and swore, although there were children nearby. Some young people were in socks, and instead of swimming shorts they were in shorts and regular street shorts, this is terrible, I think it is unhygienic and unacceptable!
This is one great pool to visit in New York. Rockland State Pool is a very large and extremely fun pool to visit. Not only do they have an Olympic size pool with depths ranging from 0 to 10 feet, but you also get a kiddie area for the toddlers. You also get two amusement parks style slides. Of course, they also serve great food here as well. Chicken tenders and fries are my go-to. Overall, I strongly recommend Rockland State Pool for a wonderful and fun day.
I wish I had more pictures to share hopefully I update this next year. But this pool is a really nice spot. They had a $10 parking and $5 per person anyone from 0-up of age pays so yes even baby’s understandable and affordable. Public pools run free but don’t have jumping boards don’t have a play area for kiddos and don’t have a place to eat. This place has it all an average food place where prices range from $10 and up depending on what you’re getting, but they have Italian ices, hotdogs chicken sandwich, burgers, fries, bottled sodas or fountain of your liking and I believe chicken tenders. But if you’re not up for any of these you can always Bring your own food and eat on the outer premises of the pool area. They have a large area where there is grass and you can still and relax taking a blanket of beach chairs to sit by under any of the trees within the pool area. The place also has three small waterslides and a water play mat with sprinklers very cute and super easy to have the little ones play there. The pool goes from 0ft to 10 ft which is where the jumping boards is, my 14 year old loved this on as you can tell in the video. My 7 year old loved the pool in general because they allow you to jump into the pool in any area after 3ft most public pools don’t allow any jumping into the pool so this was convenient. Don’t take googles that cover the nose because unfortunately they don’t allow it or try to take any outside food in because they do check ALL BAGS!!!! Hope this gives anyone some help and enjoy for next year.
I go during the week in the mornings. We go when it opens at 10, and it's very quiet. Always a small amount of people. As we leave an hour later we see more people coming in. The pool is fantastic for little ones. She walks right in. The splash zone is really nice. Everything is super clean. The staff is very nice. Important information: 1. Zero outside food in the pool area. They have wrist bands you can leave and come back. 2. Plastic water bottles only, they have lockers or you can go back to your car. 3. Your bag will be searched. I highly recommend a clear bag if you have one. You cannot enter to buy your way into the pool until your bag is searched. 4. No toys, no balls, no tubes. 5. Have a great time.
Best $5 you can spend at a pool. Changing area, lockers (bring your own lock), and shaded benches and grass areas where you can relax while the kids play. The splash pad area for younger kids is a lot of fun, too.
