Heated swimming pool, shaped like a bowling pin and open to guests at the Pop Century Resort.
The pools at Disney's Pop Century Resort, including the Bowling Pool, are typically heated year-round to a comfortable temperature, generally around 82 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 27-28 degrees Celsius).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The reviews largely focus on the 1950s-themed pool at Pop Century Resort, frequently described as bowling pin-shaped. This pool is highly commended for being heated, considerably quieter, and less crowded compared to the main Hippy Dippy pool, making it a preferred, more relaxed option. Amenities include ample towels and chairs, friendly lifeguards, and a room key requirement for entry, which helps maintain a more private atmosphere. It's conveniently located in the 1950s section, close to guest rooms. Guests advise visiting early or late to avoid larger crowds, particularly families with small children. Broadly, Pop Century Resort is celebrated as an excellent value at Walt Disney World, offering comprehensive transportation (bus to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Disney Springs; Skyliner to Epcot and Hollywood Studios). The resort provides clean, comfortable rooms with good storage and amenities like nearby laundry facilities, making it an ideal, cost-effective base for park-focused vacations, despite the food court being described as functional rather than exceptional.
Reviews
Great heated pool. Much quieter than the main hippy dippy pool by the lobby. Not as busy as other pools on property with just as good of amenities.
Pool is shaped like a bowling in so that's pretty cool. Requires a room key to get so it keeps unauthorized locals away. Be sure to go early or late if you don't want to be around a bunch of families or small kids but I guess that is common sense. Located towards the back of the hotel but around guest rooms which is nice.
Best value resort at WDW. Included bus transportation to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs. Skyliner transportation to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. The food court wasn't the best, but worked if you didn't want to eat in the parks or at Disney Springs. The room was clean and had lots of storage space and a glass front mini fridge. The beds were comfortable. We stayed on one of the areas away from the main lobby since the hippy dippy pool can be loud. But we had a pool with good laundry facilities close to our room. I would never stay anywhere else, you get a inexpensive room with included transportation and if you are in the parks all day, you only need a place to sleep at night. The Pop Century fits that bill.
Nice smaller pool on the 50s end of Pop Century. Clean, plenty of towels and chairs. Lifeguards were very friendly. A great pool to swim in, does not get as crowded as the Hippy Dippy pool.
A casual less crowded pool in the always crowded Pop Century Resort. Aside from the other pools, this bowling pin shaped pool sits right in the courtyard of the 1950's section. A great addition to the pools at the the Pop Century Resort...
