If you are looking for privacy and exclusivity, this is NOT the place. We are only a family of 5 and rented the biggest house with a lake view that they offer in Storey Lake- for a bigger pool, extra space, a game room and movie theatre, but even those houses are still so close in proximity that you can see everyone in their patios and pool. It’s so uncomfortable. Security is a joke! Guard house is completely understaffed, unable to attend to everyone, so most people get in with minimal questioning. The gate that leads to the clubhouse is always open! You would think this gate should have the most security so only guests are able to use the amenities- not the case. The clubhouse was also understaffed, people were walking in and out unquestioned. We walked straight to the fitness center and no one noticed. As soon as we opened the door the smell was horrific. Another reason we chose Storey Lake was for the amenities and had planned to workout as a family. The treadmills are completely outdated, dumb bells are missing and definitely smaller than the pictures advertise. Not to mention, they don’t open until 9am. At that time you are already out the door or enjoying your planned activity for the day. We then walked to the pool area, came back in to ask where the mini golf was and the attendant questioned me, then asked me to sign in. At least 8 people walked right past her and she said nothing, didn’t even notice them. The pool area had so many people, you could barely see the water in the lazy river nor fit another person in there. Not to mention we didn’t even realize the mini golf was in the middle of it become there were so many people!!! It was so packed it completely turned us away, including my 3 boys. Ridiculous how many people were in there. Pool area was the same. Ughh so gross, there should definitely be a limit! There is a bar, but again, only one attendant, there were over 15 -20 people waiting in line. We obviously walked right out! I do have to say that the grounds are impeccably maintained, great for morning runs/walks. The outdoor gym is ok, but 2 of the machines were broken. Note- all pictures taken were at about 7am when very few people were out and the club house was closed, also does not open until 9am.
Perfect for a family getaway! We stayed at one of the properties and had full access to the resort. I absolutely loved the splash pad for kids and the water slides. My family had a great time here. There's a gym on location with the basic equipment for fitness enthusiasts. I'd definitely recommend visiting here!
We stayed at the apartment style rooms and it was suitable for our family. We had to buy some basic items but it's super close to a grocery store and places like Walmart and Target. The club house area was well kept and all the staff were kind, respectful, and helpful. Prices there aren't crazy bad but not super great either. Ordering food took a long time and best just for snacking. Pools and other amenities were fine, but there are some things at an extra charge. Also, about an hour away from Coco beach and not far from Disney.
Nice place. Lifeguard at slides was super attentive. The bartender was nice. They even had a DJ playing upbeat music for Mother’s Day. Have to bring your own towels. No outside food or drink but understand there is no admission fee so they need revenue to keep it staffed and maintained. Seating is an issue like any pool. Have to get there early or later in day. Peak times you won’t find chairs open.
People can say what they want about this place, but honestly, if you are a realistic person, then this place is for you. We had 4 adults and 3 kids ages 4,7, and 8. We all had a blast! Bar food was great, and the drinks were too. I will say they could have used a few bartenders with some speed and maybe someone at the bar who only does food orders as the lines would get a little long for drinks. Shout out to Cathy, who was by far the best bartender. She is fast and efficient. Place is very well ran and maintained! Thanks for the time, from your Canadian friends!
