What are people saying (AI review summary)? The swim school receives mixed, though predominantly positive, feedback. Many parents and adults laud its effectiveness in building confidence and imparting crucial water survival and swimming skills, with specific instructors frequently commended for their patience, expertise, and supportive approach. Both children, including those easily distracted, and adults overcoming significant water fears, have shown remarkable progress. However, significant drawbacks include past issues with cold pool and air temperatures, which deterred children (though this concern was reportedly addressed). Other criticisms point to occasional unprofessionalism among instructors, poor communication, a lack of a supportive environment in some cases, and a high turnover rate among coaches, which can be disruptive for children's learning. Despite these challenges, the school is recognized for the quality of its individual coaches and its role in developing valuable, lifelong swimming abilities.

Amazing how much confidence is input into water survival even for the youngest children. I learned a lot here partaking a class with my baby. Hannah is very sweet, sincere, and experienced. Ryan was warm and a great help for the first class. I really like the environment and the confidence it brings to both parent/child.
Unfortunately, my experience with this swim school was quite disappointing. The instructors lacked professionalism, and the environment did not feel supportive or encouraging. Rather than helping me gain confidence and improve, the approach actually discouraged me from wanting to continue learning how to swim. Communication was poor, and I did not feel that my needs or progress were taken seriously. I cannot recommend this place to others based on my experience.
Update Apr 2025: They finally fixed the temperature and Megan took care of our concerns. But the old coaches have left the facility and there is constant turnover and it is hard for kids to adjust with the new ones. My son who is 5 year old attends Tutle 1 with Coach Colleen (who has been the best coach we encountered so far when compared to the other swim schools). The biggest concern we have woth 9 AM class on Sunday morning is the cold air and water temperature which makes kids discouraging to get into the water and learn swimming. The horrible part of this is when they come out of the pool and wait for their turn sitting on the deck. We brought this issue up with Megan and Ryan who keep apologizing for the bad temperature and state that the swim school doesn't have temperature control which is the problem they would have to deal and address woth Echelon gym management. I will tell you that there are other swim clubs around that have good quality services. The best part of this swim club is the caoches and staff at the pool.
British Swim School is a great swim school for life lesson. The coaches we have encounter have been wonderful and listen to any and all conerns. My granddaughter has learned a great deal and is almost to the end of swim lessons . I know when she leave the school she will have had a positive experience as well as swimming skills she will used throughout her life.
I had to update my review to include my experience in the adult swim classes: What an amazing experience FINALLY learning to swim as an adult! I currently have my child enrolled in classes and it's always been my dream to learn to swim. I even tried taking classes in college with no luck. My fear of water kept me from so many fun activities in life. But not any more. I've learned all the strokes and treading water, woo hoo! Swimming is so much fun and my favorite sport now, to my great surprise! I'm actually looking forward to future social gatherings with pool access to continue practicing what I've learned at BSS. A special shout-out to Brielle, Alexis, Molly and Shaun! Y'all are the real MVPs and I appreciate all of your patience in helping me to perfect my strokes and technique. Original review about child classes: Love this school! My child has been attending for over 6 months and already moved up 2 levels. She is very easily distractible at times but the instructors are so patient with her.
