Family-friendly fitness center providing a variety of classes, an outdoor pool, a sauna, a basketball court and a weight room.
The aquatics center at Jennersville YMCA typically maintains its lap pool at a refreshing 79-81°F (26-27°C) and its warm water/therapy pool at a more comfortable 88-90°F (31-32°C).
What are people saying (AI review summary)? The Jennersville YMCA receives largely positive feedback, particularly from local members and families who value its strong sense of community, welcoming atmosphere, and dedicated staff. Many reviewers highlight the long-term staff relationships, the safe and inclusive environment for children (including those with disabilities), and the positive impact of programs like sports and summer camps on children's confidence and development. Specific staff members are praised for their care and problem-solving. However, a significant area of concern arises from 'Nationwide members,' who report feeling like 'second-class citizens.' These members describe frustrating experiences with check-in processes (taking 5-15 minutes), perceived unhelpful or uncommunicative front desk staff, and exclusionary policies, particularly regarding facility access (e.g., outdoor pool), which they find inconsistent with other YMCA locations and counter to the organization's community-focused mission. They strongly recommend customer service training for front desk staff.

We love the YMCA! My whole family feels very comfortable there, and the kids see staff who have been there for all 13 years of their lives. When my son excitedly runs into The building for basketball practice, or can’t wait to learn flag football for the first time, and I watch his confidence soar through the camaraderie and coaching, I am so grateful! My daughter has a disability, and she feel welcomed and safe there. When staff remember details about our family and check back in to see how things are going, it shows that they truly care. This is what makes our local Jennersville YMCA so very special!
Jennersville YMCA summer camp was a hit with my grandchildren who looked forward to attending each day. They met new friends, felt supported by the counselors and enjoyed the results of each day’s cooking activities. All counselors and staff were friendly, enthusiastic and helpful at drop off and pick up!
After seeing Crabby Abby's review from last week I just gotta say this branch is A+++! Never had any issues with the desk staff, just signed up in January and everyone was exceptionally helpful in doing so. I'm not sure why a "local guide" with such an ELITE and ENTITLED Nationwide membership feels like they need to be pampered and worshiped by the desk staff because Ms. Carol and the others are always excited to see our normal membership children walk in the door and always ask how we're doing.
**Editing to add that a Nationwide member is not an "elite" program, it is simply a Y member using another location. Each location chooses to include all features of the Y or not. With over 4 YMCA's in the region, this location has been the most confusing and exclusionary in my experience. As a Nationwide member, I am very disappointed in the customer service at this location. I have attempted several times over the years to try out this location, and every time I'm reminded why I didn't change this to my primary location. Since I am a Nationwide member, I feel treated like a second class citizen every time. The scan card I was initially given doesn't work anymore and I've never been offered a replacement. It takes 5-15 minutes to scan in with the front desk. They either can't find me or need to update it and seem confused by the process. I strongly recommend customer service training for the front desk staff. I am barely greeted, they don't wear name tags, or offer any input. Today I came planning to use the outdoor pool since I heard it is no longer an additional fee for members. I accept my error, but the front desk staff member Joan, knew we were going to the pool and didn't ask if we knew where we were going, or mention any rules about nationwide members. After we used the locker room and tried to figure out the outdoor pool location, she then shared this information. When I spoke to her about it, she told me it was a PRIVILEGE. I explained that each nationwide Y does not have those same rules including ours. I honestly recommend for you to look at your nationwide data and consider if it's even worth it to make this exclusionary policy. This is not a country club, it's a YMCA which should be about community.
Miss Dakota and Miss Libby cared more and did more problem solving to help my child’s eccentricities than any teacher has taken the time to. They cared about her. It’s the most a parent can hope for when you leave your child in someone else’s care. I would bring Layla again in a heartbeat, she gained so much confidence.
