I want to take a moment to recognize Brandon at 24 Hour Fitness. He is always so helpful and attentive whenever I’m at the gym. His kindness and upbeat energy create such a welcoming environment, and it’s clear he genuinely cares about the members. Whether it’s answering questions, offering assistance, or just greeting with a smile, Brandon goes above and beyond to make the experience better. Employees like him make a huge difference. I always appreciate his positive attitude and the way he makes everyone feel cared for. Thank you!

I would highly discourage anyone from using the 24 Hour Fitness at DOCO. 24 Hour Fitness has been purchased by a private equity firm. This would ruin any business, and it appears to be ruining 24 hour fitness. I moved to Sacramento this year and when I went into 24 Hour Fitness, I told them that I had had a lot of bad experience with cancelling gyms before and gyms preventing me from cancelling or putting a lot of costs on me when cancelling. So, I asked very specifically what their cancellation policy. I was told repeatedly that as long as I gave 30-days notice, I would have no trouble cancelling. That they wouldn’t do that to their customers. This is literally what we talked about most with the membership because I wanted to be sure that I wouldn’t have another bad experience. Unfortunately, I have had another bad experience. Honestly, it is the worst experience I have had cancelling a gym membership because they are making me pay the remainder of the year membership (8 months) with no reasonable prorating of the expense based on the fact that I can't access the gym anymore. I unexpectedly have the move. So, I went in to do a cancellation. Not only will they not refund any of the year of membership that I paid for, they were very rude. I told him I was very unhappy considering that the cancellation process had been a primary conversation when I became a member at the gym. Their response was to victim blame saying if you knew you were going to move, then why did you pay for a year? As if I knew that I would have to move unexpectedly. I asked that they at least make sure that this wouldn’t happen to anyone else. That they needed to make sure the staff was trained to give accurate information to their customers as I had gotten inaccurate information. I was told repeatedly that I only needed to give 30 days notice. Would he at least say that they would do staff retraining? This man was so condescending in refusing at all to do any staff training to prevent this from happening again. He insisted that I misunderstood and that it was my fault entirely. I understand that corporations and hedge funds are here to extract money from us “peasants.” I realize I fell into the “buyer beware” trap. However, the victim blaming, and the lack of concern of what lies employees were telling in order to make a sale is so blatantly insulting and dishonest.

No one here seems to have accurate or consistent information. I work just down the street and thought I’d try this gym on my lunch breaks, so I got a three-day pass that, according to their own website…. was specifically valid for this location. When I arrived, the front desk told me this was a “special gym” and didn’t accept the pass, and that I’d have to pay $30. I called to clarify and was told passes are “only for people looking for memberships.” (There seems to be a lot of stipulations that no other gym requires.) I pointed out that I had literally said I was looking for a gym for my lunch breaks.. meaning I was actively considering a membership. No one could explain why I was denied, and no one offered to make it right. Based on the current reviews, it seems there are no redeeming qualities here anyway. There are tons of great options in the area that are cleaner and offer a far better experience. If this is how they treat potential members, I can’t imagine how poorly they treat current ones. I’d strongly recommend avoiding this location entirely.

DISGUSTING!!! I recently joined this club because it has showers and a set of saunas (wet/ dry).I went into the wet/ steam sauna and there were empty water bottles on the floor, as well as tissue paper. The sauna CLEARLY hadn't been cleaned/ sanitized in a few days. The floor was just dirty from people walking in there fully clothed with their shoes on. I went to use the shower and the SMELL from the shower room took my breath away!!! It smelled of an open sewer line!!! Two or three of the showers were missing doors! Once I did get a shower with a door, there were GNATS all up on the wall!!! Needless to say that I just skipped the shower until I got home! Two of the showers had either a broken showerhead or broken handle. The toilet area had gnats flying everywhere. The lockers hadn't been wiped down or sanitized either. There's a sign that says that the locker room is closed for one hour everyday, but there is NO WAY that locker room has gotten the attention that it needs! I swear that if the Board of Health visited, they'd be shut down!!!! Yes, I did cancel my membership! I refuse to allow myself to be at risk of catching some type of disease or worse because a company REFUSES to keep a CLEAN establishment! Oh, and the guy that signed me up was cool and knowledgeable about the gym, but the other, heavier guy never speaks. It costs NOTHING to be kind and speak to someone. ESPECIALLY when you have a FILTHY AND DISGUSTING establishment! #CleanItUp #Nasty #Disease

I had a great experience at 24 Hour Fitness thanks to Brandon at the front desk. From the moment I walked in, he was welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful. I was interested in trying out the gym for the day, and Brandon made the process of getting a day pass quick and hassle-free. He answered all my questions, gave me a helpful overview of the facility, and made sure I felt comfortable before I started my workout. It's not every day you come across someone who genuinely seems to enjoy helping others and does their job with such positive energy. Thanks again, Brandon, for making my visit a smooth and enjoyable one!
