Public swimming pool offering lessons, and a good place for kids.

What are people saying (AI review summary)? This community pool generally receives positive reviews, lauded for its clean water (despite one minor mention of a dirt line on tiles) and family-friendly amenities, including a fountain for little ones, a diving pool, and ample shaded grass areas. Visitors appreciate the availability of life jackets, enthusiastic and safety-conscious lifeguards who sometimes offer swim lessons, and the ability to bring their own food and coolers. Staff are often described as friendly, contributing to a relaxed summer vibe. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the pool was particularly praised for strict adherence to guidelines and limited capacity, creating a safe and enjoyable experience. While it can get full quickly due to its small size, and one review noted an inconvenience with not accepting $20 bills for admission, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many looking forward to returning.

What a great find in my neighborhood! Beautiful pool, awesome fountain for little ones, diving pool, picnic tables and friendly staff that plays chill music with a smile. It's a great summer vibe....

Good Small community public pool. Get full right away. Early times are the best.
We had a great experience during the Covid 19 crisis. They only allowed 30 people total ! This was awesome since I usually avoid crowded public events in general, just not my thing. It made the whole vibe so relaxed since it wasn't overrun as it would be in a regular year. We felt so safe. The lifeguards were very strict about water safety and Covid Guidelines but still totally nice about it. They even offered a drop in one on one swim lesson for anyone and the lifeguards were enthusiastic with the kids - they even gave them an otter pop if they did a good job! My only complaint is the dirt line around the top pool on the tile - but the water itself looked very clean and clear. I would have given a 5 star if it wasn't for the dirt line. Thank you City of Sac for this awesome program I wish it could continue through the warm weather since our kids will be doing distant learning and it would give them something safe to do and look forward to. I wrote the Mayor but I doubt anything will happen.
Stopped by this pool for the day. And it turned out to be a pleasant experience. There is plenty of shaded grass areas to sit, we were able to bring in our cooler and food to eat, which was great. It was also reasonably priced for admission, but beware that they won't take a $20 bill at all. I had to buy something off of the ice cream truck, just to get change, or else I would have had to leave and find a store. Other than that bit of an inconvenience, had a good time and will be back.
